COVID-19 Tracker: Tuolumne County adds four new cases,
Thetuolumne County Public Health Department counted three new community cases of COVID-19 and one new inmate case at Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown onthursday.
New community cases in the county were identified as a woman in her 30s; and a woman and a man in their 70s.
As ofthursday, the county had tallied 3,946 total coronavirus cases since the pandemic began, with 2,532 community cases and 1,414 SCC inmate cases. SCC inmate cases have accounted for 35.8% of the county’s cases.
The county recorded three more COVID-19 deaths on Monday this week, bringing the county’s coronavirus death toll to 59.The county’s most recent COVID-19 deaths were identified as three women, two in their 80s and one in her 90s.
There were 45 active cases and two Covidpositive individuals were hospitalized in the county as ofthursday.the county remained in the state’s purple tier for widespread risk of coronavirus infection, with a case rate of 10.9 per 100,000 people and a testing positive rate of 4.1%.
A state vaccine dashboard updatedthursday showed 13,325 vaccine doses had been administered intuolumne County. The county’s estimated population is 54,660.
The county Public Health Department urged anyone 65 or older who has not received a vaccine or been scheduled for vaccination to call the department at (209) 533-7440.

When you should get tested: Five days after travel or close contact with others outside of your household; as soon as possible if experiencing symptoms; and/or every 14 to 28 days if regularly working with the public.

•Thetuolumne County Public Health Department continues to distribute COVID-19 vaccine doses to people in Phase 1A and Phase 1B-tier 1 of a state vaccine distribution plan, for individuals 65 and older as well as education workers, childcare workers, and emergency services workers.
