COVID-19 Tracker: 10 new cases in Tuolumne County,

Ten more new cases of COVID-19 were counted from Saturday to Monday intuolumne County, with no new inmate cases at the Sierra Conservati­on Center state prison outside Jamestown.

The 10 new community cases were identified as two women and two men between 18 and 29 years old; two women and one man in their 50s; two men in their 60s; and one woman in her 70s.

As of Monday, the county had tallied 3,982 total coronaviru­s cases since the pandemic began, with 2,567 community cases and 1,415 SCC inmate cases.

There were 29 active cases and two Covid-positive individual­s were hospitaliz­ed in the county as of Monday.

A total of 59 COVID-19 fatalities have been counted bytuolumne County Public Health since the pandemic began early last year.

Testing

When you should get tested: Five days after travel or close contact with others outside of your household; as soon as possible if experienci­ng symptoms; and/or every 14 to 28 days if regularly working with the public.

•Thetuolumn­e County Public Health Department continues to distribute COVID-19 vaccine doses to people in Phase 1A and 1B of a state vaccine distributi­on plan, individual­s 60 and older, people 16 to 64 in high-risk groups, as well as education workers, childcare workers, emergency services workers, and food and agricultur­e workers.
