The Sonora Police Department reported the following:
TUESDAY
12:36 a.m., public intoxication — An intoxicated woman asked for help while on someone’s front porch on Summit Avenue and was later arrested.
2:17 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A motorist said people in an older Chrysler 300 did a U-turn in the middle of Yaney Avenue, pulled up to the motorists car and walked around it. An officer determined that the people were waiting to pick someone up from jail and provided the address to the new jail.
3:42 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman saw a man with a flashlight by storage containers at a business on Mono Way. The man told an officer he was looking for boxes.
8:21 a.m., traffic accident — A woman head-butted another woman three times after a fender-bender on Snell Street, then drove away in a black Acura with a child in the car.
8:58 a.m., vandalism, property damage — Peanut butter was spread on windows, fencing and the ground, and “some sort of liquid plastic” was poured on the ground at a business on Mill Villa Court.
9:01 a.m., graffiti — A planter at Grigsby Park was graffitied.
9:01 a.m., graffiti — The bench was graffitied at a parking structure on North Washington Street.
10:16 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman said that her dog carried an open can of dog food to her, and she was concerned that someone placed the can in her fenced yard on purpose on South Stewart Street.
11:34 a.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A woman who “appeared to be under the influence of something” in a beanie, vest, coat, pants and boots yelled and walked up to vehicles at a business on Sanguinetti Road.
6:02 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman with a shaved head and bandana poured something that looked like lighter fluid on the ground near a railroad crossing on Greenley Road. An officer determined that she poured out a bottle of honey.
9:07 p.m., burglary — A Shaws Flat Road residence was burglarized.
9:41 p.m., controlled substances — A bald man in a gray coat and camo pants carrying a blue-and-black backpack was under the influence, carried bolt cutters and attempted to steal items from a business on Sanguinetti Road. The man was arrested.
The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:
TUESDAY
11:19 a.m., Columbia — A package was stolen on Gunsight Road.
11:56 a.m., Jamestown — Cell phones were stolen from the mail onthird Avenue.
12:39 p.m., Sonora — Lewd acts with a child occurred on Lupine Lane.
1:21 p.m., Columbia — Suspicious circumstances led to an arrest on Sawmill Flat Road.
5:16 p.m., Sonora — A large man with a shaved head, dark bulky jacket, beanie and scarf over his face approached customers and loitered in front of a business on Mono Way.

11:51 a.m., Sonora — Sean Patrick Mccarthy, 38, of the 100 block of Glen Brae, Aptos, was booked after an arrest on Phoenix Lake
Road near Silver Dawn Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY TUESDAY
2:55 a.m., San Andreas — A person was taken to the hospital after a report of suspicious circumstances on West Saint Charles Street.
9:45 a.m., San Andreas — A Highway 12 property was vandalized.
1:36 p.m., San Andreas — A trespass occurred on Hope Court.
6:05 p.m., Arnold — A battery occurred on Deer Run Way.
7:26 p.m., Angels Camp — Someone was assaulted on Highway 49.
