Sherrie Lynn Ballard

Aug. 9, 1955 — March 10, 2021

It is with tremendous emotion that our family announces on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, Sherrie Lynn Ballard was called home to be with Jesus. She is now with her daddy, Floyd Grimes, and brother, James Summerlin.

Sherrie leaves behind her loving husband of over 40 years, Alex Ballard (Babo); her loving moma, Patricia Klaverweid­en; and sister, Patricia Evans; along with six children, Nikki, Jack, D.J., Dave, Levi and Rollon; and 16 grandchild­ren, Ashleigh, Karsen, Alex, Wyatt, Mikaela, Dennis, Jamaica, Colby, John, David, Arianna, Mason, Delilah, Crysta, Savannah and Makayla; seven great-grandbabie­s, Jack, William, Bo, Felix, Milo, Mason, and Kayden; along with her extended family, mother, Barbara Grimes, and three sisters, Donna, Kathy and Romye. Her family was her legacy, and this world will never shine as bright again.

June Corrine Peterson June 11, 1932 — Feb. 9, 2021

Lifelong Tuolumne County resident June Corrine Peterson passed away on Feb. 9 at her home in Chinese Camp. She was 88 years old.

June always enjoyed the outdoors working in the yard and with her flowers. She also enjoyed family trips in the summer to Carson City, Nevada. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchild­ren. They were her pride and joy.

June is survived by her son, Stacy Carter, of Chinese Camp, daughters, Mindy Clarkson, of Sonora, Melody and Fred Scott and Molly Peterson, all of Chinese Camp; her grandchild­ren, Kelsie Scott, of Sonora, Justin Scott, of Groveland, Taylor Dennis, of Boone, North Carolina, and Chloe Clarkson, of Sonora; her sister, Wanda and Odie Albertson, and their daughter, Misty Albertson, of Chinese Camp, and a nephew, Ernie Curto, of Elk Grove.

June is preceded in death by her husband Elmer Peterson, her parents Aurther Allen and Molly Allen, her siblings, Jimmy Allen, Richard Allen, Joan Hoffman and Gloria Antone, and her niece, Jody Curto.

PIERCE — Rhonda S. Pierce, 66, died Wednesday, March 10, at her home in Sonora. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 27, at Carter’s Cemetery in Tuolumne. Sierra Cremation and Burial Service is handling arrangemen­ts.
