OBITUARIES
Janice Bonillo
1933 — 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Janice Bonillo announces her passing on Feb. 19, 2021, at age 87 at her home in San Antonio.
Janice was born to Paul and Muriel Cavalieri on May 19, 1933, in Sonora. She attended Sonora High and, after graduating, she married Gerald Bonillo on July 31, 1954, and lived in Sonora with him until his death in 2007. Together they had one son.
A loving mother and homemaker, Janice devoted her life to her family.
She enjoyed cooking (especially for the holidays) and loved animals. Her home was always the hub for her son, Barry, and his friends when they were growing up, and she was (usually) happy to have it that way.
Janice will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her son Barry and his wife, Tammy; her sister and brotherin-law, Sandy and Wayne Varco; her niece, Stacey Robinson, and her wife, Patti Schermerhorn; and other extended family and friends.
Friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Janice at 1 p.m. Friday, April 16, at the St. Patrick’s Mountain View Cemetery in Sonora. A celebration of Janice’s life will be held afterward in Sonora.
