The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

1:19 a.m., driving under the influence — A woman heard a man yelling. Officers responded to a single-vehicle accident, and the fire department was dispatched to flush out pepper spray from the driver’s eyes. The man was arrested and the vehicle was towed ontheall Street.

9:41 a.m., theft — A man with a ponytail in his mid-40s took a case of beer from a delivery truck at a business on Pesce Way and got into a green vehicle with a woman.

2:42 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man with a beard in brown pants sat on a bench and smoked drugs. An officer determined no crime had been committed.

5:03 p.m., lost, found property — A woman said she lost her red wallet with a black zipper two weeks ago at a plaza on Mono Way or in a ride service vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

6:01 a.m., Sonora — Someone said a person wearing all black clothing was in the merge lane on Stockton Road.

8:37 a.m., Twain Harte — Someone said they were out for a walk in the morning and, when they looked up at a house on Center Camp Road, the back sliding window was open. The home had been burglarize­d.

9:53 p.m., Sonora — Someone said 50 to 60 gallons of diesel fuel was siphoned from a truck and hydraulic fluid was also taken on Racetrack Road.

10:01 a.m., Sonora — Someone said people were burning in a burn barrel on Sullivan Creek Road.

10:33 a.m., Jamestown — Someone said there were about 20 mailboxes with the lids open on App Street.

10:54 a.m., Jamestown — A van was burglarize­d on Seco Street.

1:26 p.m., Columbia — Vandalism occurred on Howser Lane.

3:00 p.m., Columbia — A burglary and theft occurred on Big Hill Road.

4:42 p.m., Sonora — Someone said they lost their cell phone at a casino, then someone texted from the lost phone about getting a reward on Tuolumne Road North.

7:48 p.m., Columbia — A cat was stolen on Big Hill Road.

WEDNESDAY

2:08 a.m., Sonora — Douglas Eric Shults, 59, of the 200 block of Greenley Street, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Theall Street.

11:34 p.m., Jamestown — Sean Patrick Mcdermott, 52, of the 5000 block of Chuckwagon Drive, Copperopol­is, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 and High School Road.

5:17 p.m., Valley Springs — A Berryhill Drive property was burglarize­d.

9:44 p.m., Copperopol­is — Someone said they were lost after they trespassed on Chuckwagon Drive.
