TH nurse charged with sex crimes involving a child
A Twain Harte man who is a state-licensed registered nurse was arrested Monday evening on suspicion of multiple sex crimes involving a child under 10 years old, according to the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office.
Keith Aaron Eaton, 41, of the 22600 block of Cedar Pines Avenue, surrendered himself to the Sheriff’s Office in the lobby at Dambacher Detention Center, the new county jail off Old Wards Ferry Road, at 5:52 p.m. Monday.
Sgt. Robert Nikiforuk, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office, said there was one alleged victim under 10 years old. He added the victim is now safe, and “no other info will be released” when asked for further details about Eaton’s arrest.
Jail booking records identified Eaton’s occupation as a nurse, though it was unclear Tuesday where he works.
The California Board of Registered Nursing website showed Eaton has a current license issued in February 2015 and set to expire May 31, 2022.
There were no records of any disciplinary actions noted, no court orders, and no public letters of reprimand associated with Eaton’s nursing license as of Tuesday afternoon.
Eaton was booked on five felony charges listed in jail booking records as continuous sexual abuse of a child; oral copulation or sexual penetration of the child 10 years or younger; sodomy: penetration; act in concert: sex perversion; and aggravated sexual assault with a minor.
Eaton remained behind bars Tuesday afternoon, according to Vinelink, an online database tracking the custody status of inmates in detention facilities across the United States. His bail was set at $250,000.
