The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

10:46 a.m., lost, found property — A large purse found in a ditch on Highway 49 was turned in, the contents were inventorie­d and the purse was returned to the owner.

1:40 p.m., trespass/loiter — Someone said people cut a lock on a gate that is next to their Crooked Lane property and camped in the area. Officers on foot checked the area and found an empty camp.

2:18 p.m., reckless driving — A woman said she saw an older, beat up, champagne colored sedan with a “busted rear windshield” and the people inside appeared to be making a drug deal on Highway 49.

3:34 p.m., public intoxicati­on — A man created a disturbanc­e in a bar on South Washington Street and refused to leave when asked.

4:10 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A man caused a disturbanc­e in the lobby of a business on South Washington Street after being asked for a credit card for a room deposit. Officers contacted the man who agreed to leave and not return.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

10:23 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman was passed out in the back of a black SUV parked in a driveway on Sierra Drive.

11:41 a.m., Jamestown — On call back to a 911 call, a woman on Mill Villa Road said she was moving to a new place and thought her cat dialed on accident.

8:15 p.m., Columbia — Someone said there was a fire at Mountain Boy and Five Mile Creek roads.

5:52 p.m., Sonora — Keith Aaron Eaton, 41, of the 22000 block of Cedar Pines, Twain Harte, was booked on suspicion of continuous sexual abuse of a child, copulation or sexual penetratio­n of a child 10 years or younger, sodomy, committing lewd acts on a child, and aggravated sexual assault against a minor, after self surrender to the Dambacher Detention Center on Justice Center Drive.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

12:18 a.m., Dorrington — A residentia­l alarm sounded on Kenshaw Way and an arrest was made.

10:18 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone was assaulted on Double Springs Road.

12:49 p.m., San Andreas — Someone got into a fight in the middle of the road on

East Saint Charles Street.

2:47 p.m., Angels Camp — There was a burglary on Whittle Road.

7:01 p.m., Valley Springs — A report was take for vandalism on Gold Nugget Drive.

7:47 p.m., Jenny Lind — Someone said a person was at a Scenic Valley Drive property without permission.
