Toni Lynn Sundling

1975 - 2021

-

Toni Lynn Sundling peacefully passed away at her home in Tuolumne on Aug. 3, 2021, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. This disease may have taken most of her body, but it never took her spirit, sense of humor or her desire to help others.

Toni was born July 16, 1975, in Sonora to Martha and Andy Cusack. She was a lifelong resident of Tuolumne and was a graduate of both Summerville

Elementary and Summerville High schools. She was an original team member of Black Oak Casino and celebrated her 20-year anniversary in April. She loved her job, her co-workers and, most of all, the guests. What she enjoyed most were Senior Wednesdays and the guests that she had seen for years.

In her spare time she loved to read, bowl, crochet, and trips to the coast or to Nevada. She loved her bowling family in the Gamblers Getaway bowling league, which she was a member of for over 25 years. One of her greatest loves was to watch her kids play sports. She truly cherished the friends she made through Westside Little League and through her involvement with Tuolumne Bears Youth football. She was amazed by the love that the people of these organizations showed and how they became her second family.

Toni was preceded in death by her daughter, Sabrina; mother, Martha; and grandparents Joyce Gray, Ted and Doe Shewmake. She is survived by her Husband Billy, her sons William Thomas (Hailey), Zachary and Robert Sundling; brother Ted Cusack (Bessie); sisters Myca Evans and Annette Kuusinen (Kent); father Andy Cusack; mother-in-law Gwen Sundling; her uncles and aunts, Elliott Cusack, Connie and Mark Hargis, Frankie Way; and her best friend Ruth Main. She also is survived by the apple of her eye, her granddaughter, Eleanor

Grace. There will be a celebration of life from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at Heritage Park at Black Oak Casino. Everyone is welcome with food and refreshments being provided.
