The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

1:47 a.m., theft — An employee at a business on Old Wards Ferry Road said a young woman was in a company truck and threw a shirt at the employee, and they believed she took a set of keys on a carabiner.

6:59 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man in a black hoodie and black shoes slept on the front entry of a business on South Washington Street and left after officer contact.

9:56 a.m., trespass/loiter — A store employee requested a formal trespass for a person who was aggressive and repeatedly entered the business on Sanguinett­i Road.

6:39 p.m., public intoxicati­on — A man said another man in a blue shirt and jeans tried to open his vehicle and brandished a knife at him at Rotary Park. An arrest was made.

8:35 p.m., reckless driving — Someone said a “carload of younger girls” in a white Toyota Highlander appeared to be intoxicate­d on Mono Way.

9:34 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — Someone heard a man say “get off me, stop following me, leave me alone,” in a shopping center on Sanguinett­i Road.

11:04 p.m., assault — A man said a security guard “put hands on him” at a business on Sanguinett­i Road and requested to press charges for false imprisonme­nt. Officers were busy at the time, and the man went back to his camp to wait for an officer’s phone call.

SATURDAY

7:01 a.m., weapons violation — A woman said a man sprayed her husband’s face with bear spray and left in a spray painted black car on High Street.

8:35 a.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A young man sat on a bench along South Washington Street and yelled obscenitie­s in front of a business.

12:31 p.m., obstructin­g justice/resist officer — A man in a red hat and shirt, tan pants and glasses returned to a business he was trespassed from and was arrested on Sanguinett­i Road.

3:07 p.m., sexual assault/ sexual offenses — A report was taken from a woman who said she was sexually assaulted by her doctor at an undisclose­d location.

6:30 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man in a black tank top, black hat and tattoos on each arm pushed a shopping cart, picked up trash and looked into vehicles in a parking lot on Sanguinett­i Road.

6:48 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — Photos were taken of a bone that a dog dug up in a yard on South Washington Street. An anthropolo­gist viewed the photos and confirmed the bone belonged to an animal.

SUNDAY

12:40 a.m., traffic accident —

A man said his wife’s vehicle was sideswiped by a vehicle that passed illegally on Stockton Road.

1:52 a.m., assault — A woman said another woman punched her at a bar on South Washington Street.

9:06 a.m., lost, found property — A metal case containing an ATM card, gift cards and driver license was found at a bar on South Washington Street and returned to the owner.

12:09 p.m., lost, found property — A woman said she left her rose gold Samsung 20 phone on top of her vehicle as she drove away from a business on South Washington Street. Someone picked it up and the cell phone provider confirmed recent activity on the phone.

8:58 p.m., trespass/loiter — A man in a black tank top and a woman in a red tank top, who previously stole items, were formally trespassed from a business on Sanguinett­i Road.

9:30 p.m., theft — A woman with no ID was taken into custody in the office of a business on Sanguinett­i Road for shopliftin­g and was arrested on suspicion of misdemeano­r burglary. The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

9:34 a.m., Chinese Camp — Someone on Friendship Hill Road sent a text message to call the sheriff and said “don’t respond to the message.”

9:45 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said her neighbor swung a rake at her on Ponderosa Drive.

9:56 a.m., Twain Harte — A video showed someone trying to break into a bathroom at a business on Twain Harte Drive.

11:08 p.m., Twain Harte — A pair of black Frye sandals were taken from a business on Twain Harte Drive.

12:09 p.m., Strawberry — Multiple calls were received for a large boulder in the roadway at Highway 108 and Forest Road 5N06.

1:41 p.m., Soulsbyvil­le — A logging truck dragged a chain at Soulsbyvil­le Road and Highway 108.

4:57 p.m., Sonora — A person was lying down on property at Poppy Hills Drive and Highway 49.

5:53 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone reported smoke coming from grass near a business on Tuolumne Road North.

5:52 a.m., Mi-wuk Village —

A business on Highway 108 was burglarize­d.

8:18 a.m., Jamestown — Someone said a vehicle with no license plate crashed into a retaining wall on Jamestown Road.

10:01 a.m., Columbia — Neighbors fought over a cat on State Street.

3:44 p.m., Jamestown — Someone said an intoxicate­d man in a light blue GMC pickup hit a vehicle and drove off at a business on Chicken Ranch Road.

4:33 p.m., Groveland — A vehicle was vandalized on Highway 120.

5:48 p.m., Groveland — A woman said a rattlesnak­e was under the steps of her shed on Ferretti Road.

8:50 a.m., Tuolumne — A woman said she had a restrain

ng order against her neighbor, who had cameras pointed right at her house on Carter Street.

11:01 p.m., Sonora — A woman said a neighbor set off a large explosion at Serrano Road and Mono Way.

3:56 p.m., Jamestown — Mail was stolen on Highway 108.

2:04 a.m., Mountain Ranch —

Someone said they saw headlights on their property on Jesus Maria Road, but deputies did not locate anyone and lightning was occurring at the time.

3:02 a.m., Rail Road Flat — People yelled and screamed at a residence on North Railroad Flat Road.

6:03 p.m., San Andreas — A report was taken for graffiti on High School Street.

4:24 p.m., Murphys — Cruelty to animals occurred on Meadow View Road.

4:43 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A man in a helicopter reported a fire on Jesus Maria Road.

4:58 p.m., West Point — A report was taken for a suspicious person on Highway 26.

A burglary occurred on Calaverita­s Road.

10:30 a.m., San Andreas — Andrew Hudson Broady, 34, of the 300 block of Jackson Street, Independen­ce, was booked on suspicion of manufactur­ing/ importing/ sale/ possession of metal knuckles, after an arrest on Main Street.

Edward Emil Cooper, 31, of the 100 block of Norlin Street, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of illegal use of tear gas, etc., after an arrest on Gold Strike Road.
