The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

6:38 a.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A man in a black shirt and green shorts at Grigsby Park on South Green Street yelled, screamed and requested medics, then refused treatment when they arrived.

6:45 a.m., theft — A woman said her red Subaru Legacy was broken into and her driver’s license and Social Security card were stolen on Summit Avenue.

8:12 a.m., vandalism, property damage — A woman said her vehicle was broken into on West Lane.

10:09 a.m., vandalism, property damage — A woman on Snell Street said her sliding door was broken during the night, but nothing appeared to be missing.

10:33 a.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man who threw large rocks near the bridge next to the Sonora Police Department on South Green Street said he would refrain from doing so after officers contacted him.

1:17 p.m., warrant arrest — A man on South Washington Street yelled and said he would cut the throats of passersby, then was arrested for two local misdemeano­r warrants.

1:19 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — Someone tried on clothing at a business on Mono Way and discovered a foreign substance on it.

2:17 p.m., sexual assault/ sexual offenses — A report was taken for sexual assault at Sonora High School on North Washington Street.

5:40 p.m., trespass/loiter — A man sleeping in front of a business on South Washington Street was transporte­d to Adventist Health Sonora.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

6:45 a.m., Twain Harte — A business on Joaquin Gully Road was burglarize­d.

7:42 a.m., La Grange — Someone said a person followed students to school on Merced Falls Road.

7:54 p.m., Twain Harte — Trees were damaged and graffiti was spray painted at Eproson Park on Meadow Drive.

8:32 p.m., Groveland — A woman on Whites Gulch Road said a loud, blue four-wheeldrive Chevy pickup cut through her property to get to a vacant trailer and shined their lights on it before leaving.

8:54 a.m., Twain Harte — A residence on South Fork Road was burglarize­d.

9:05 p.m., Sonora — A man screamed to himself and to passersby near a business on Tuolumne Road.

9:45 p.m., Sonora — A storage unit was burglarize­d on Tuolumne Road.

10:09 a.m., Jamestown — A catalytic converter was stolen on Oakmont Court.

10:12 a.m., Jamestown — Someone saw a hot spot burning at Golden Dove Lane and Silver Pine Drive.

10:15 p.m., Strawberry — Someone saw smoke behind a store on Herring Creek Lane.

10:28 a.m., Sonora — Someone on Phoenix Lake Road saw neighbors who just moved in had put their two labradors and a dachshund in a pen with a goat, which was “traumatize­d, laying down, screaming” as the dogs nipped at it while the owners were not at home.

11:19 a.m., Columbia — A woman said her vehicle was stolen on Gunsight Road.
