TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

9:47 a.m., assault — Someone said they were “jumped” but not injured near a business on Sanguinett­i Road.

10:30 a.m., theft — A woman said she left her purse on a ledge at the Social Security Administra­tion office and when she returned to retrieve it, two women were going through it and her Social Security card and cash were missing.

10:48 a.m., animal complaint — Someone said a “mother deer” was foaming at the mouth in her backyard then ran off on South Arbona Circle.

11:30 a.m., theft — A woman said a diamond ring was taken from her jewelry box on Lyons Bald Mountain Road.

1:38 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man on Shaws Flat Road said he received a call from a debt collector, provided them with personal informatio­n and thought it was a scam. No monetary loss occurred and options were provided.

1:50 p.m., threats — A man at a laundromat on Stockton Road said his life was threatened.

2:05 p.m., controlled substances — An employee at a business on Sanguinett­i Road said a customer dropped a small bag of drugs. The item was picked up and booked for destructio­n.

4:59 p.m., vandalism, property damage — A gas cap was damaged and gasoline was stolen from a vehicle sometime in the night on Lyons Bald Mountain Road.

5:49 p.m., weapons violation — Someone said a man in a red jacket and shorts brandished a steak knife in a parking structure on North Washington Street. When officers spoke to the man, who had a small folding knife, he denied brandishin­g and was admonished.

6:18 p.m., animal complaint — A long haired Chihuahua jumped out of a vehicle on Mono Way without the owner’s knowledge and it was brought to animal control. The owner was notified of the dog’s location.

6:23 p.m., lost, found property — A brown men’s wallet was left at the front door of the Sonora Police Department, booked and a report was taken.

8:16 p.m., public intoxicati­on — A man in a black shirt, blue pants, and black shoes was lying in front of a store between the two entry doors with an open container on Sanguinett­i Road and refused to leave when asked. An arrest was made.

9:40 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — Someone said they heard what sounded like a young female screaming for help near Toby Street or Knowles Hill. Officers were unable to locate the source.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

6:44 a.m., Sonora — A woman on Beckwith Road said a feral cat snuck into her house and she trapped it in the bathroom and then was unable to do anything further as the cat was “extremely irritable and aggressive.”

8:07 a.m., Jamestown — An outbuildin­g was broken into at a business on Jamestown Road.

9:36 a.m., Groveland — Credit cards were found at Ferretti Road and Boitano Road North.

10:22 a.m., Long Barn —

Someone said that two to three men who previously worked in a mobile home park on Highway 108 came into their house and took the car stereo system they were going to install.

10:35 a.m., Jamestown — Someone said a vehicle that sat abandoned for seven weeks on Wigwam Road was slowly stripped and “the license plate is now gone.”

10:59 a.m., Jamestown — A front loader crashed through a fence and was still running with no one around on Seco Terrace Drive.

11:10 a.m., Jamestown — A loader was stolen from the Road Department at Seco Terrace Drive and Campo Seco

Road.

11:40 a.m., Jamestown — A business on Seco Terrace Drive was vandalized.

12:16 p.m., Groveland — A man on Vernal Drive said his roommate broke into his room “and destroyed it.”

12:18 p.m., Jamestown — Someone said a man and a woman with bright orange shirts filled a water truck from a hydrant in the morning and at noon for the past month at Fifth and Sierra avenues.

12:47 p.m., Sonora — Two hundred dollars was stolen from a business on Bergel Road.

1:29 p.m., Jamestown — A white four-door sedan towed a car trailer with a Knapp toolbox and a blown tire sent sparks flying at Highway 108 and Montezuma Road.

1:57 p.m., Jamestown — Two people with dogs in a cage camped in tents at Highway 108 and Stockton Road.

2:12 p.m., Sonora — A man on Lakeside Drive said he scratched his head with his phone in his hand and accidental­ly dialed 911.

3:34 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said someone broke into her house on Lone Bend Road to use her phone.

11:34 p.m., Tuolumne — Eight people were in a physical fight at West Side Memorial Park at Pine Street and Bay Avenue.

SATURDAY

2:03 a.m., Sonora — A woman said she thought people tried to break into trailers at a storage facility on South sunshine Road because she heard “a lot of banging.”

7:30 a.m., Sonora — A woman on Corte Primero said she and her husband “have people in the attic and her husband nailed up the space and trapped them.”

8:18 a.m., Sonora — A catalytic converter was stolen from a truck at a business on Mono Way.

12:05 p.m., Columbia — A man kept falling off a bicycle into traffic at Parrotts Ferry and Sawmill Flat roads.

1:30 p.m., Tuolumne — A counterfei­t bill was passed at a business on Tuolumne Road North.

2:53 p.m., Sonora — A man tried to pick fights with people at a business on Mono Way.

9:43 p.m., Sonora — A physical fight occurred in the parking lot of a bar and an arrest was made on Tuolumne Road.

SUNDAY

2:01 a.m., Jamestown — People banged on walls and windows at a mobile home park on Peppermint Circle.

10:04 a.m., Groveland — Someone said two people held guns out of the windows on a red Chevy pickup, possibly road hunting, and there were several other vehicles doing the same thing at Ferretti Road and Prospect Heights.

11:07 a.m., Sonora — A man sat on his phone on his tractor and accidental­ly called 911 on Green Acres Road.

11:14 a.m., Sonora — A hen with chicks was seen near an eatery on Mono Way. Animal control was dispatched.

12;07 p.m., Twain Harte — A cell phone was found at an eatery on Tiffeni Drive.

4:57 p.m., Sonora — Someone said people at an Airbnb on Columbia River Drive screamed and yelled for three days and played loud rap music.

4:59 p.m., Pinecrest — A cell phone was stolen from the amphitheat­er bathroom on Lakeshore Avenue.

5:46 p.m., Sonora — A man said “massive amounts of money” was taken from him on Greenley Road.

7:30 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said her daughter’s cell phone was taken at a business on Tuolumne Road North.

8:41 p.m., Tuolumne — Two women were in a physical fight on Tuolumne Road.

MONDAY

11:19 a.m., Sonora — A vehicle was broken into and items were stolen on Jamestown Road.

1:53 p.m., Sonora — A woman said her vehicle was broken into on Hillsdale Drive.

2:30 p.m., Jamestown — A man said he lost his wallet three weeks ago on Wigwam Road.

2:56 p.m., Jamestown — A report was taken for sexual assault on Park Avenue.

4:19 p.m., Sonora — A man said that a black bear was “running around his property last weekend” on Columbia River Drive.

4:30 p.m., Sonora — A woman said she saw a bus driver vaping at Guzzi Lane and Greenley Road.

4:56 p.m., Jamestown — Someone said a beige cab-over camper was parked in an unsafe manner for three days on Reservoir Road.

6:58 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone said a light-colored car occupied by a man was parked on the side of the road for over an hour at Tuolumne Road North and Hayden Road.

8:22 p.m., Sonora — Someone said there was a grass fire or bonfire and was unsure if it was attended to at Phoenix Lake and Belleview Creek roads.

3:40 a.m., Cold Springs — Terry Lynee Alkire, 68, of the 1000 block of College Court, Modesto, was booked after an arrest at Highway 108 and Lassen Drive.

4:15 p.m., Yosemite Junction — Andrew Joseph Sosa Jr., 58, of the 12000 block of Draper Mine Road, was booked after an arrest at Highway 120 and Highway 108.

2:50 p.m., Jamestown — Amy Joyce Hughes, 33, of the 18000 block of Main Street, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm with great bodily injury likely, inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant, willful cruelty to a child with possible injury or death, after an arrest at her home.

1:21 a.m., South County — Michelle Vermon-vondra, 51, of the 7000 block of Sylmar Lane, Sacramento, was booked on suspicion of evading a peace officer with wanton disregard for safety, force or assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm with great bodily injury likely and a misdemeano­r charge of evading a peace officer, after an arrest on Highway 120 at the Yosemite entrance gate.

11:36 a.m., San Andreas — A report was taken for a health and safety violation on High School Street.

12:25 p.m., Angels Camp — A report was taken for vandalism on Whittle Road.

12:55 p.m., Railroad Flat — A report was taken for burglary on Ridge Road.

1:32 p.m., San Andreas — A report was taken for a disturbanc­e on Mountain Ranch Road.

8:54 p.m., Arnold — A suspicious person was arrested on Fir Drive.
