Liberalism

Liberalism started out innocently enough. My memories of the 1960s included their proclamations of “free love” and “free speech.” But it has morphed into free college, free health care, open borders, and much more. And, as our country has become more liberal, it has become a place of turmoil and distrust. How is it that the sanctimonious liberal philosophy hasn't made everybody happy? Well, because it doesn't work.

Happiness and real progress come from order. Conservatives believe in law and order, individual responsibility, and the all-encompassing philosophy of “There is no such thing as a free lunch.” Conservatives believe in hard work, paying your own way, helping those who truly can't help themselves, and paying your fair share for the greater good. Conservatives believe in God and family.

The results of liberalism, accentuated this year under liberal leadership in Washington and among many of our liberal state leaders, is massive hysteria over the chaotic handling and misinformation of COVID-19, including mask mandates, vaccines, etc... It has led to racial tensions due to critical race theory. It has led to young children questioning their sexual orientation. It has led to a border crisis with yet to be learned consequences. It has led to the loss of our energy independence. It has led to massive homelessness. It has led to dramatic inflation which hurts the low-income families buying food, and fuel for their homes and cars. It has led to weakness of the backbone of America. Who would want to be a police officer? Who will be inspired to join our armed forces? And who is going to pay for the massive welfare programs promoted by the self-righteous liberals who are promoting all these Marxist policies? The lowand middle-income wage earners will pay; until they can't. Then what?
