The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

7:33 a.m., controlled substances —

A wallet left in a cart at a Sanguinett­i Road business contained a loaded syringe.

9:53 a.m., vehicle theft — A Shaws Flat Road resident said his wife stole his and his brother’s vehicle, his wallet, his car keys and his brother’s car keys.

12:33 p.m., lost/found property — A machete was found on a rock at the base of a rock wall behind a Sanguinett­i Road business. The item was disposed of by an officer.

9:23 p.m., theft — A man said another man staying in a room at a Stockton Road hotel stole his pink iphone while he was doing laundry. A hotel employee said there had been no tenants in the room for two days.

11:37 p.m., miscellane­ous code violations — A North Stewart Street resident said a man parked in front of her house in a white Ford Crown Victoria asked her if he could paint her walls.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

12:51 a.m., Jamestown — The driver of a burgundyan­d-gold SUV appeared to be “checking out houses” on Wigwam Road.

9:16 a.m., Long Barn area — A piece of Gradall equipment was stolen from Lyons Dam Road.

10:44 a.m., Sonora — A woman wearing a red-andgray tank top appeared drunk, looked in the windows of a closed Cedar Road North office, then danced in the street while heading toward an apartment complex.

11:47 a.m., Sonora — A Columbia Way residence was burglarize­d.

11:56 a.m., Groveland — An assault was reported at a Highway 120 elementary school.

12:17 p.m., Jamestown — Several calls were made about a fire along Highway 108.

12:27 p.m., Sonora area — A Crystal Falls Drive resident who recently purchased the home said someone was in the backyard taking wood.

4:35 p.m., Mi-wuk Village — A Chief Fuller Way residence was burglarize­d.

5:26 p.m., East Sonora — Someone had a burn pile on Hess Avenue.

TUESDAY

6:45 p.m., Tuolumne — Ty Matthew Day, 57, address not given, was booked after an arrest on Miwu Street.

Felony bookings:

TUESDAY

7:33 a.m., Sonora — Samuel Patrick Masquelier, 33, of the 6000 block of Melones Court, was booked on suspicion of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years after an arrest at his home.

9:15 a.m., Jamestown — Donald Allen Casner, 52, of the 18000 block of Highway 108, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant after an arrest at his home.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

6:30 a.m., Rail Road Flat — An arrest was made after a report of a suspicious person on North Railroad Flat Road.

10:40 a.m., Arnold — An arrest was made after a report of a suspicious or parked vehicle.

8:09 p.m., Angels Camp — A disturbanc­e occurred on Dogtown Road.
