TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

10 a.m., animal complaints — A Greenley Road resident said she was attacked by cats inside her apartment and went to the hospital for treatment. 1:14 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A “dirty” man wearing baggy clothes and a black hat was seen banging on the windows and trying to open the door of a Stewart Street business. The same man was seen about 30 minutes later walking in and out of the street.

4:31 p.m., animal complaints — A skinny Chihuahua with no collar or tags was seen running on East Church Street. The dog was transporte­d to Animal Control.

4:50 p.m., traffic accidents — A woman said another woman driving a silver car wouldn’t let her merge on Mono Way and sideswiped her car. When the two pulled over, the driver of the silver car, who had strawberry blonde hair and freckles, punched the other woman in the face, spit on her, then left heading toward downtown.

8:03 p.m., animal complaints — A South Shepherd Street resident said her 17-year-old Chihuahua, Mia, was missing. The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

1:47 a.m., Jamestown — A big-rig traveling on J59 was dragging something and starting fires along the side of the road.

3:50 a.m., Tuolumne — A building at Jerry Whitehead Field on Main Street was burglarize­d.

8:09 a.m., Jamestown — A woman was running into traffic on Main Street.

9:03 a.m., East Sonora — Three teenage boys wearing black threw rocks at a Mono Way business.

11:22 a.m., Sonora — Someone was assaulted on Kelso Court.

5:59 p.m., Sonora area — A Tuolumne Road business was vandalized with spray paint.

7:24 p.m., Sonora area — A Phoenix Lake Road woman said her grandmothe­r’s house, which is directly next door and should be empty, was being burglarize­d. The woman said lights that were on were turned off, then back on again and she could hear noises inside the residence.

9:28 p.m., Groveland — People camping on property on Second Garrotte Ridge Road were starting fires, living in trailers and leaving trash all over the property.

10:09 p.m., East Sonora — A theft was reported at a business in Indian Rock Center. Arrests Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:27 a.m., San Andreas — A theft occurred at a Russell Road property.

11:21 a.m., San Andreas — Battery occurred on Pope Street.

1:20 p.m., Arnold — A report was taken on Lilac Drive for contributi­ng to the delinquenc­y of a minor. Arrests Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

WEDNESDAY

11:50 a.m., San Andreas — Paul Wayne Janssen, 35, of the 10 block of Hope Court, was booked after an arrest on Hope Street. Felony arrests:
