The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

11:15 a.m., fraudulent activities —

A woman on Greenley Road who believed she won a sweepstake­s said a man from Jamaica, who used multiple phone numbers, talked her into purchasing six $500 Visa gift cards and she gave him the security codes and the card numbers.

3:12 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man at the police department said members of the Mexican mafia hacked his phone and were watching his house and his work.

9:39 p.m., theft — A man was arrested on suspicion of stealing items from a Sanguinett­i Road business and had two local misdemeano­r warrants.

THURSDAY 11:30 a.m., suspicious cumstances —

cirSomeone said two men lit a fire for a smoker in a grassy field on Child Road. An officer determined that the men were there to resurface a parking lot.

3:03 p.m., theft — A man said his 12-gauge shotgun and a backpack were taken from his unlocked pickup truck at the U.S. Post Office on South Washington Street.

3:03 p.m., theft — A woman said her food and bedding were taken from the parking lot of a business on South Washington Street.

3:13 p.m., Smc/misc code violations — A man in blue coveralls who was under a South Washington Street building said he was “taking care of business.”

3:17 p.m., lost, found property — A woman lost her wallet in the parking lot of an eatery on Mono Way.

3:44 p.m., trespass/loiter —

A woman yelled curse words and scared customers at a Sanguinett­i Road business and was issued a formal trespass notice.

4:13 p.m., theft — Someone said a man with tattoos on his face in a red hat, black pullover sweater and black pants stole several bottles of alcohol in hand baskets and left a Mono Way business in a beige, older model Ford Explorer.

4:21 p.m., lost, found property — A man said he lost his wallet while riding his motorcycle between Lyons Bald Mountain and Racetrack roads.

Reports and booking logs from the Sheriff’s Office will not be available until Monday or Tuesday.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY 12:50 a.m., San Andreas —

A report of battery was made by someone on Mountain Ranch Road.
