TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

3:13 a.m., trespass/loiter — Post office employees on South Washington Street said a man followed them into a gated area and would not leave. The man left after an officer served a formal trespass notice.

5:24 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man in all black clothing, who was previously trespassed, returned to a Sanguinett­i Road business and was arrested.

10:18 a.m., lost, found property — A woman left her belongings in front of Tuolumne County Superinten­dent of Schools building on Fairview Lane, and the items were brought to the Sonora Police Department. An officer is on the lookout for the woman.

12:22 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A woman threw things and caused a disturbanc­e in front of a business on Mono Way and was gone before an officer arrived.

12:32 p.m., animal complaint — A man said he gave a friendly, emaciated blue-nose pit bull a can of dog food “which the dog inhaled” at a shopping center on Mono Way. The area was checked, but the owner was not located.

2:01 p.m., vandalism property damage — Someone entered a school bus through the emergency door and sprayed the interior with a fire extinguish­er at a school on North Forest Road.

3:33 p.m., vehicle check — A man was admonished for parking his car facing the wrong way on Stockton Road to help a woman in a wheelchair.

5:31 p.m., reckless driving — A woman said she saw a man in a bar who slurred his words, fumbled for his keys to his vehicle and drove off on South Stewart Street.

7:43 p.m., controlled substances — Someone said a man in blue jeans and a long-sleeved camo shirt “could barely stand” at an eatery on Mono Way. An arrest was made.

9:16 p.m., theft — Report was taken from a man who said his Stihl chain saw was stolen from the back of his truck while it was parked either at a business on Old Wards Ferry Road or a business on Mono Way.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: TUESDAY

8:40 a.m., Soulsbyvil­le — Someone said two children refused to wear a mask and their parents refused to pick them up at an elementary school on Soulsbyvil­le Road.

10:05 a.m., Sonora — A man said he was threatened by a young man on Mormon Creek Road.

10:28 a.m., Columbia — A delivery driver went down an unmarked driveway and was met by a man with a rifle in a mobile home park on Green Street.

11:48 a.m., Sonora — A man found a bike with a tag on it locked to a post in the delivery dock of a business on Mono Way.

1:33 p.m., Sonora — Someone said people “made a mess with garbage” behind a business on Mono Way.

5:13 p.m., Jamestown — Someone said a vehicle collided with a mountain lion at Montezuma Junction, but a California Highway Patrol officer responded and determined it was actually a deer.

7:38 p.m., Jamestown — A man who hid in a service station bathroom on Highway 108 said “people are following him and trying to rob him.”

7:48 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone said there were “ongoing problems with squatters” at a residence on Tuolumne Road North.

2:49 a.m., Sonora — Jeffrey Alan Jacobs, 40, of the 11000 block of Mckellar Drive, was booked with additional misdemeano­r charges of DUI over 0.08% and driving on a license suspended for DUI, after an arrest at Mono Way and Tuolumne Road.

12:12 a.m., Jamestown — Cody Anthony Ronngren, 31, of the 6000 block of O’byrnes Ferry Road, was booked on suspicion of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm; manufactur­ing, importing, selling, supplying or possessing a large capacity magazine; being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition; and misdemeano­r charges of knowledge of changing, altering/selling/buying identifica­tion of firearm; and using or being under the influence of a controlled substance; after an arrest at his home.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

5:55 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A report was taken for a suspicious vehicle on West Center Street.

8:18 a.m., Arnold — A report was taken for fraud on Coniferous Drive.

9:04 a.m., San Andreas — A report was taken for prowling on Mountain Ranch Road.

12:28 p.m., Valley Springs — A report was taken for theft on Daphne Street.

3:43 p.m., Arnold — Nicole Theresa Rieg, 50, of the 5000 block of Drakes Drive, Discovery Bay, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, willful cruelty to a child with possibilit­y of injury or death, and a misdemeano­r charge of contempt of court for violating a protective order, after an arrest on the 1800 block of Thunderbol­t Trail.

7:15 p.m., Mountain Ranch — David Lee Copeland, 38, of the 3000 block of Poag Lane, Vallecito, and James Martin St. Louis, 39, of the 1800 block of Live Oak Drive, Douglas Flat, were booked on suspicion of being a felons in possession of a firearm, being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, possession of a controlled substance while armed and misdemeano­r charges of possession of unlawful parapherna­lia, possession of burglary tools, after arrests on the 1900 block Big Flat Road. St. Louis was additional­ly booked on suspicion of receiving known stolen property valued at more than $950, vehicle theft, conspiracy to commit crime, and a felony probation violation.
