The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

7:30 a.m., trespass/loiter — A caller said a man and woman with a stroller were sleeping on a bench outside of a church fellowship hall on Snell Street.

2:15 p.m., kidnapping — A man wearing a gray sweater and red beanie offered a 15-year-old girl money and said “Will you be my sweetheart?” on South Green Street. The man then hopped into a dark blue older pickup, continued to watch the girl for five more minutes, then drove away.

6:18 p.m., vandalism/property damage — A South Barretta Street resident said an upstairs neighbor drilled a hole into the ceiling of his apartment.

7:44 p.m., assault — A man was arrested on misdemeano­r charges of being drunk in public and battery after a report of two men fighting at a North Washington Street gymnasium.

11:32 p.m., burglary — A Greenley Road resident said she arrived home to find someone had broken into her apartment and left what looked like an IV bag full of blood in her refrigerat­or.

SATURDAY

7:15 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A caller said a woman connected a phone and a blank card with wires to an ATM machine on South Washington Street.

11:10 p.m., theft — Two women were under-ringing items at a Sanguinett­i Road store. Both were arrested.

SUNDAY

2:57 a.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man paced and mumbled to himself at a convenienc­e market on Pesce Way.

3:47 a.m., controlled substances — An employee of a convenienc­e market on Pesce Way found what appeared to be drugs at a gas pump and turned them over to an officer for destructio­n.,

7:16 a.m., trespass/loiter — The manager of a Mono Way store found a man sleeping inside the men’s restroom after unlocking the store. The man, who wore a black hoodie and green cargo pants, ran out the front door after being found.

8:11 a.m., Mi-wuk Village — An Olo Win Trail resident said owners of a neighborin­g property accused him of knocking down a retaining wall while using a snow-blower.

9:35 a.m., Jamestown — A Seco Street property was vandalized.

9:56 a.m., Sonora — Something was stolen from a Campo Seco Road property.

11:02 a.m., Sonora area — A gate and posts were vandalized at a Mormon Creek Road property.

11:40 a.m., Jamestown — A pile of mail was spotted near a bridge on O’byrnes Ferry Road.

3:09 p.m., Soulsbyvil­le — A Longeway Road resident reported seeing flames and black smoke on a ridge across the highway.

6:51 p.m., vandalism — A Wigwam Road property was vandalized.

SATURDAY

7:57 a.m., La Grange — A Navarro Street resident said a firearm was stolen.

8:04 a.m., Sonora area — A vehicle was flipped on its side on Tuolumne Road near Soulsbyvil­le Road.

8:52 a.m., East Sonora — A Hillsdale Drive caller said a man wearing a gray puffy vest and white hoodie walked very slowly past the house several times.

1:59 p.m., Groveland — A fallen tree blocked Clinton Road.

2:31 p.m., Jamestown — An employee of a Main Street hotel said guests had broken a vacuum and left a candle burning in a room.

4:01 p.m., Jamestown area — An RV at a Tulloch Dam Road campground was burglarize­d.

5:02 p.m., Jamestown — A Stent Cut Off Road resident said pot bellied pigs were loose in the backyard.

6:14 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said she saw a lit flashlight on the ground as she was driving on Golf Links Road.

SUNDAY

9:22 a.m., Jamestown — A vehicle was stolen from an Eighth Street residence.

12:35 p.m., Twain Harte — A mudslide blocked Middle Camp Road.

12:52 p.m., Twain Harte — A Center Camp Road property was vandalized.

2:24 p.m., Jamestown — Multiple gunshots were heard on Campo Seco Road, and a gray Toyota pickup was seen leaving the area.

4:07 p.m., Sonora area — A Tuolumne Road resident said she could see people trespassin­g on her property via camera.

9:45 p.m., Columbia — An Italian Bar Road resident said people had backed a vehicle up to a fence, then jumped the fence and walked around the property.
