TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

10:16 a.m., trespass/loiter — Employees at a law office on Stockton Road said a man blocked the doorway and lifted his leg to block them when they tried to open the door.

4:11 p.m., reckless driving — A woman said a man in a blue sedan stumbled, smelled of drugs and had bloodshot, watery eyes as he delivered her pizza on Shaws Flat Road. An officer located the vehicle and determined the man wasn’t intoxicate­d upon evaluation, but he was given a verbal warning.

4:59 p.m., theft — A mailbox and pole were stolen on East Jackson Street.

5:22 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — Someone said a person sat in a black Subaru at a parking lot on Southgate Drive and marijuana smoke was emitted from inside.

9:05 p.m., missing persons/ non-runaway — A report was taken from a woman who said she had not heard from her husband all day and he did not return home at the usual time.

9:25 p.m., traffic accident — A delivery truck crashed into a medical building on Greenley Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

9:49 a.m., Tuolumne — A suspicious vehicle check resulted in an arrest on Carter Street.

12:09 p.m., Sonora — A report was taken for a man who stole some hats and a belt from a business on Mono Way.

12:24 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone on South Fork Road said they heard a power line arcing and smelled smoke.

1:43 p.m., Twain harte — A woman on Highland Drive said power lines were down across her steps.

1:45 p.m., Sonora — A large tree fell onto power lines at Big Hill Road and Meadow Lane.

3:32 p.m., Sonora — Ten vehicles were parked on private property where people “created their own snow park” at Highway 108 and Sturgis Road.

3:37 p.m., Sonora — A wallet was found near a pharmacy on Mono Way.

3:46 p.m., Groveland — A trail camera was stolen at Merrell and Second Garrotte Ridge roads.

6:25 p.m., Jamestown — A man on Peppermint Circle said someone “messes with his internet and iphone” and has been doing so for years.

7:11 p.m., Twain Harte — A welfare check was requested for a man who acted strangely in a business on Tiffeni Drive.

8:48 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on Sierra Drive said he caught his neighbor and an unknown man tampering with his generator.

9:36 p.m.,moccasin — A man at Moccasin Switchback Road and Highway 120 said he caught two people “trying to rip me off” and they headed toward Groveland in a gray Nissan.

10:16 p.m., Tuolumne — A power line related fire occurred on Cedar Street.

11:20 p.m., Tuolumne — A loud explosion was heard at Crocker Avenue and Birch Street.

11:38 p.m., Sonora — Someone complained of loud noise coming from a garage on Saratoga Road.

9:46 a.m., Sonora — John Harvey Porter, 57, no address given, was booked on suspicion of dischargin­g a firearm in a grossly negligent manner and a misdemeano­r charge of exhibiting a firearm, after an arrest on Dusty Trail.

The Sheriff’s Office has not yet provided reports for Friday through Tuesday.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

4:08 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone was arrested for public intoxicati­on on Nove Way.
