TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

11:30 a.m., trespass/loiter

— An employee of a Mono Way grocery store said a heavyset man who had previously stolen items was in the store and attempted to “push out” with more unpaid items. The employee was able to retrieve the items, but the man left in a 1990s gold Ford Explorer with tape on the back window.

7:15 p.m., public peace/ fight/disorderly conduct — A person talking to a neighbor on Woodside Drive said a woman walked down the street yelling and cursing at them.

10:26 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man in a hooded jacket pulled up to the back doors of the library on Greenley Road and was “creeping around” the area. When contacted by an officer, the man said he was trying to connect his phone to the building’s wifi.

SATURDAY

5:31 p.m., trespass/loiter — A man in a ball cap and white T-shirt was seen coming out of the storeroom of a South Washington Street business, then checking doors on other buildings on the block. The caller said the padlock was left off the storeroom, but nothing appeared to be missing.

7:48 p.m., warrant arrests — A man with a white dog who yelled and threatened to beat up another man at a Sanguinett­i Road eatery was arrested on outstandin­g warrants.

11:08 p.m., public peace/ fight/disorderly conduct — A man screamed and yelled in front of a South Washington Street auto parts store.

SUNDAY

9:07 a.m., burglary — An Alley Way resident said someone broke into her vehicle overnight and stole her camera.

10:02 a.m., controlled substances — A man who was “wobbling” around a patio area of an Old Wards Ferry Road business was arrested on multiple charges.

11:08 a.m., municipal code violations — The shift manager of a Mono Way eatery found a man defecating into a bucket inside the business’ dumpster corral. The man then cussed at the manager and threatened to hit her. Deputies were unable to locate the man.

3:15 p.m., controlled substances — A man staying at a Stockton Road hotel dropped his phone behind the bed and, when he reached to retrieve it, found a baggie of drugs. Deputies booked the drugs for destructio­n.

9:31 p.m., municipal code violations — A man who slept in front of a Mono Way business with his pants down was arrested.

11:13 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A Columbia Way resident said a woman walking down the road kicked over her trash can and was worried the woman might be planning to “burglarize something.” The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

5:16 a.m., Twain Harte — A white work truck was left in the middle of Highway 108 with no lights on.

11:24 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone brandished a weapon at a Tuolumne Road school.

11:52 a.m., Jamestown — A vehicle parked on Seco Street was burglarize­d.

2:31 p.m., Jamestown — A Stent Cutoff Road resident found five syringes with caps on the side of the road near her property.

2:38 p.m., Sonora — An unknown man walked from the bottom of a Keely Drive property up to the homeowner when the homeowner was outside.

4:13 p.m., Jamestown — A Fifth Avenue woman said an unknown man repeatedly trespassed on her property.

6:11 p.m., Twain Hate — Someone yelled at a Towhee Lane resident and trespassed on the property.

8:20 p.m., Jamestown — Medical personnel were dispatched to a Kanaka Drive property after a report of a fight.

9:42 p.m., Sonora — A caller said a maroon truck was pulled into the dirt lot of a Wards Ferry Road work site, and was concerned due to recent thefts.

SATURDAY

6:26 a.m., Sonora — Someone started a fire in a drainpipe under the overpass on Sanguinett­i Loop Road.

10:35 a.m., East Sonora — Someone was arrested at a Mono Way eatery after someone called to report a suspicious person.

11:15 a.m., La Grange — Mail was stolen at a ranch on Highway 120.

4:40 p.m., Soulsbyvil­le — Someone attempted to burglarize a Soulsbyvil­le Road property.

4:51 p.m., New Melones — Someone vandalized Heron Point day-use area on Reynolds Ferry Road.

8:19 p.m., Sonora — Someone trespassed on a Rawhide Road property.

10:04 p.m., New Melones — People fought near the dam at New Melones Reservoir.

SUNDAY

11:57 a.m., Sonora — Something was stolen from a Wards Ferry Road property.

11:58 a.m., Sonora — Three dogs ran in the eastbound lane on Highway 108.

1:01 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone was assaulted at a Tuolumne Road North business.

2:11 p.m., Twain Harte — A Sequoia Lane property was burglarize­d.

2:30 p.m., Twain Harte — A burn pile “got away” from a Sunnybrook Drive resident.

2:30 p.m., Twain Harte — A cabin on South Fork Road was on fire.

2:41 p.m., Jamestown — A person getting fuel at a Highway 108 gas station said a woman banged on the door of the gas station and a neighborin­g eatery, then banged on the caller’s car while screaming.

4:02 p.m., Tuolumne — Signs in the Skyfarm Drive area were spray-painted and mail was thrown around.

4:11 p.m., Sonora — A battery was stolen sometime in January from a vehicle parked on Eel River Drive.

7:34 p.m., Jamestown — Cows were loose on Campo Seco Road.

8:24 p.m., Tuolumne — People fought at a North Tuolumne Road business.

7:27 p.m., Pinecrest area — Dawn Bernadette Lamarra, 56, of the 500 block of North School Street, Lodi, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 at Snow White Ridge Drive.

9:17 p.m., Jenny Lind — Michael Lonnie Gowan, 53, of the 5900 block of Rippon Road, Valley Springs, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant/date and obstructin­g or resisting an executive officer using intimidati­on after an arrest on Indian Creek Road.

8:42 a.m., Valley Springs — Enrique Julian Espiritu, 32, of the 5000 block of Baldwin Street, was booked on suspicion of first degree burglary and vandalism/$400 or more after an arrest at his home.

8:42 a.m., Valley Springs — Octavio Hernandez, 29, of the 2100 block of Sunny Lane, was booked on suspicion of being a felon/addict in possession of a firearm, being a prohibited person owning/possessing ammunition, revocation of command supervisio­n, receiving known stolen property, two felony warrants and misdemeano­r giving false identifica­tion to a law officer after an arrest on the 5000 block of Baldwin Street.

10:40 p.m., Murphys — William Roy Fullerton III, 44, of the 500 block of Tanner Court, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant/date after an arrest at his home.
