The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

10:04 a.m., animal complaints — A Twilight Court resident said a raccoon was moving oddly in a tree in the backyard. An officer determined the raccoon was injured and advised the homeowner to leave it alone and call back if the animal became a threat.

10:16 a.m., controlled substances — An apparently angry man waved his arms, walked back and forth and threw shopping carts down an embankment at a Stockton Road store. He also had “something long covered under his coat.”

2:50 p.m., public peace/ fight/disorderly conduct — Someone said a fight was going to take place at the skate park on Greenley Road, and a school vice principal was on his way to the area. Officers found the area clear.

3:20 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A North Washington Street resident saw a suspicious man wearing black sweatpants with a white stripe and a black leather jacket walk onto a neighbor’s porch, then turn and leave when he saw he was being watched. Another person called one minute later to report the suspicious man, and another caller four minutes after that reported the man had started walking up her driveway but turned around when he saw her dog.

3:24 p.m., parking — A South Barretta Street resident said a man who was living in a motorhome across the street drained an unknown substance from the RV.

4:17 p.m., trespass/loiter — The owner of a Hospital Road property said a man wearing sunglasses, a blue shirt and camouflage pants was destroying signs.

4:47 p.m., animal complaints — Cows were in a creek along Southgate Drive.

5:39 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A young man wearing black gloves and a brown jacket and carrying brake cleaner demanded money from a South Shepherd Street resident and attempted to come up the front steps.

5:45 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A topless woman at the bottom of a staircase at a South Washington Street lodging establishm­ent was determined to be drunk and was taken to her room by a friend.

5:57 p.m., any civil problem — A man said he went into a Sanguinett­i Road business to cash a check and a man wearing a green-and-tan flannel shirt took the check and refused to give it back.

8:11 p.m., public intoxicati­on — A woman was arrested on a charge of being drunk in public after attempting to get into an occupied vehicle that didn’t belong to her.

10:58 p.m., public peace/ fight/disorderly conduct — A fight that originated at a Washington Street bar moved across the street to Coffill Park and ended with two people being injured and two people being arrested.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

7:29 a.m., Jamestown — A woman stripped her clothes and danced in the parking lot of a Smoke Street medical clinic, then climbed into a garbage can.

8:07 a.m., Columbia — Three washing machines were dumped on Springfiel­d Road.

8:09 a.m., Jamestown — Mattresses and other items were dumped on French Flat Road.

9:29 a.m., Sonora — A report was taken for suspicious activity at a Highway 108 dance academy.

9:45 a.m., Tuolumne — A `brown horse was in the roadway on Tuolumne Road North.

11:32 a.m., Chinese Camp — A person who was trying to get their bull off a neighbor’s property was yelled at by the neighbor.

2:08 p.m., Jamestown — A woman took a package from the Jamestown Fire Station and went behind a dumpster, removed the items inside then threw the box away.

3:41 p.m., East Sonora — A man who was building a camp near a Tuolumne Road business was given a warning.

5:43 p.m., East Sonora — A “transient camp” was being set up behind a Mono Way business and people were bathing in a creek.

6:17 p.m., Sonora — An arrest was made after two people were seen fornicatin­g on a rock along Ivy Drive.

8:17 p.m., Jamestown — A man and woman hit each other at Sierra Conservati­on Center on O’byrnes Ferry Road.

9:22 p.m., Twain Harte — A vehicle blocked Twain Harte Drive for more than an hour.

8:52 p.m., Sonora — Joanne Elizabeth Alvord, 62, of the 100 block of Pesce Way, was booked after an arrest on Pesce Way.

4:59 p.m., Twain Harte — Anthony Joe Schweitzer, 67, of the 16000 block of Apple Colony Road, Tuolumne, was booked after an arrest on Tuolumne Road North north of East Avenue.

9:13 a.m., Valley Springs — Something was stolen from a Hogan Dam Road property.

11:17 p.m., San Andreas — A report was taken for a drug violation on Jeff Tuttle Drive.

4:41 p.m., Copperopol­is — Yard equipment was stolen from an Arrowhead Street property.
