TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

7:49 a.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man slept in a red Subaru with his face covered near a business on old Wards Ferry Road. An officer prompted him to leave the area.

8:57 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man in dark clothing slept near the front of a delivery door at a business on South Washington Street. Officers advised him to leave the area.

11:26 a.m., controlled substances — A woman at a medical facility on Greenley Road was found to be in possession of heroin and methamphet­amine.

1:45 p.m., unclassifi­ed — A man said merchandis­e on the sidewalk in front of a business on South Washington Street made it difficult to park and exit his car without hitting the items. An officer determined that the items on the sidewalk did not create a parking issue.

2:26 p.m., animal complaint — Someone flagged down an officer on Linoberg Street for a large beehive in a tree. The officer determined the hive was on private property and notified the owner.

8:05 p.m., theft — A man in his mid20s wearing a hat backwards, a black jacket and blue jeans, stole a chain saw out of the back room of a business on Mono Way. Officers located the man behind a movie theater and arrested him.

9:42 p.m., theft — A woman on South Shepherd Street said a man wearing shorts entered a gate and used a hand cart to take an Ebay box from her porch. Officers located the man but were unable to determine from video footage if he was the one who stole the item.

11:50 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A man said he was assaulted at a bar on South Washington Street and said he was in a park and the men followed him.

TUESDAY

7:47 a.m., Sonora — A woman on Soulsbyvil­le Road said a man in a “yellowish” truck aggressive­ly tailgated her, passed her and then ran her off the roadway.

8:11 a.m., theft — Something was stolen at Belleview School on Kewin Mill Road.

9:19 a.m., Tuolumne — Suspicious circumstan­ces occurred at Summervill­e Elementary School.

11:26 a.m., Sonora — A Sonora Hills Drive caller said a boat had been parked in an RV parking area for several years and no one knows who it belongs to.

12:45 p.m., Jamestown — A new modular home was broken into on Peppermint Circle.

1:05 p.m., Twain Harte — A rock was thrown through a windshield on a vehicle at a business on Twain Harte Drive.

2:55 p.m., Jamestown — Someone was assaulted on Peppermint Falls Road.

3:31 p.m., Sonora — A vehicle was broken into at a business on Camage Avenue.

6:04 p.m., Sonora — Someone said a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a punched ignition and window down had been parked for about a week behind a Mono Way business.

6:13 p.m., Sonora — Someone found a hypodermic syringe full of drugs in the parking lot of a Mono Way business.

6:26 p.m., Jamestown — Someone on Preston Lane said a person threw garbage all over the property and an arrest was made.

6:46 p.m. Sonora — Multiple calls occurred for a “very large tortoise walking around” between businesses on Mono Way.

9:37 p.m., Sonora — People fought on Phoenix Lake Road.

9:55 p.m., Columbia — Multiple calls occurred for a bear under the siding of a trailer and growling heard behind a neighbor’s house on South Airport Road.

11:08 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said her vehicle was stolen from a business on Chicken Ranch Road.

8:11 a.m., Jamestown — A report was taken for a cold case of lewd acts with a child from 2019 on Tulloch Dam Road.

10:42 p.m., Sonora — People fought on Racetrack Road.

12:40 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone brandished a weapon at a business on Tuolumne Road North.

4:15 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone trespassed at a business on Tuolumne Road North.

7:03 p.m., Sonora — Something was stolen at a business on Mono Way.

6:21 a.m., A Country Road property was burglarize­d.

10:07 a.m., Jamestown — A Rolling Oaks Drive property was vandalized.

11:20 a.m., Columbia — People fought on Italian Bar Road.

11:31 a.m., Sonora — A man on Ridgeview Drive said his wallet was stolen.

12:50 p.m., Sonora — A man in his 20s with a dark mustache, black hoodie, black pants and gloves slept between two businesses on Mono Way. An officer issued the man a warning.

3:15 p.m., Sonora — Six people restrained a drunk driver of a dark blue Chevy pickup with flames on it at a business on Longeway Road.

4:14 p.m., Jamestown — A Seventh Street property was vandalized.

5:07 p.m., Strawberry — Someone on Kell Lane said they had a video of a neighbor who removed railroad ties from their property.

7:08 p.m., Long Barn — Someone brandished a weapon on Wheeler Road.

7:46 p.m., Jamestown — Someone trespassed on a Jacksonvil­le Road property.

7:56 p.m., Sonora — Someone was assaulted on Justice Center Drive.

8:46 p.m., sonora — Something was stolen at a Chukar Circle address.
