The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

7:15 a.m., lost, found property — Someone lost a handheld HAM radio on Dragoon Gulch Trail on Alpine Lane.

7:43 a.m., obstructin­g justice/resist officer — A man in a blue shirt with dark curly hair and a cigarette paced back and forth, pounded on a door of a business on South Stewart Street and ran from officers after they issued a lawful order to stop.

9:22 a.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — Someone on East Jackson Street said a man with wavy/shaggy brown hair, no shirt and “scruffy hair on his back” entered another person’s home, exited the residence then ran onto East Oakside Drive. The man claimed to be “jogging,” then changed his statement saying he was chased.

11:05 a.m., animal complaint — Someone said a pit bull was in a redtoyota minivan that was parked all night near a business on Sanguinett­i Road. While they were on the phone with SPD dispatch, the man returned to the vehicle and left the area.

12:37 p.m., unclassifi­ed — A woman on Bonanza Road said her former roommate yelled “have a nice day” into her ear while she was exiting a transit vehicle. She was told that his comment did not constitute a threat or harassment and was advised of the restrainin­g order process.

1:14 p.m., animal complaint — Someone said a gray or brindle pit bull-type dog was in a vehicle with the windows up near a business on Sanguinett­i Road. An officer determined the dog was not in distress as the owner returned to the vehicle.

2:17 p.m., animal complaint — A woman on Linoberg Street said her neighbor’s cat roamed free and was “continuous­ly getting pregnant and destroying her yard.”

4:06 p.m., theft — Someone on Linoberg Street flagged down an officer for a stolen kitten, which was still nursing.

4:54 p.m., controlled substances — Two men in their late 40s who smoked marijuana in a gazebo at Woods Creek Rotary Park were arrested — one on outstandin­g warrants and the other for an infraction.

5 p.m., trespass/loiter — An employee at a business on Stockton Road requested that a man who previously stole alcohol be formally identified and trespassed from the property.

6:27 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man in his late 30s in a dark green T-shirt and jeans walked in the middle of the roadway on South Washington Street. Officers located the man, who said he was only crossing the street.

SATURDAY

7:57 a.m., vandalism, property damage — The front window of a business on South Washington Street was damaged overnight.

10 a.m., assault — Someone said their son was assaulted by another child Friday at the skate park on Greenley Road.

11:16 a.m., theft — A rare, blown-glass bird was stolen from a business on South Washington Street on Thursday or Friday.

6:15 p.m., lost, found property — A group of men had an electric shopping cart from a business on Sanguinett­i Road and were refusing to give it back, though it was returned after an officer spoke with one of the men.

SUNDAY

12:59 p.m., lost, found property — An ipad was found in the middle of an intersecti­on on Kewin Mill Road and returned to the owner.

4:05 p.m., threats — A woman on Fair Street said her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend made a threat to shoot her with a shotgun on social media.

8:05 p.m., graffiti — A woman at an apartment complex on Fairview Lane said derogatory comments and swastika’s were written in chalk on the ground in front of her apartment. An officer determined it to be neither a hate crime nor graffiti.

9:37 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — Someone on High Street said an unknown woman came to their door, but they did not answer. She was sitting inside a vehicle parked in the resident’s driveway, but left before officers arrived.

9:46 p.m., assault — An intoxicate­d man was arrested and booked into county jail on suspicion of public intoxicati­on after someone said he was vomiting at the corner of South Stewart and Mehun streets, then began chasing their vehicle and fell down.

10:24 p.m., assault — A woman on Hospital Road said she was intentiona­lly assaulted by a female neighbor who confronted her about using an emergency exit only to go outside and smoke.

7:06 a.m., Jamestown — Someone hit a cattle guard with their vehicle on Tulloch Road and bent one of the metal ties.

9 a.m., Groveland — Someone dumped a “huge” pile of trash on Harper Road.

10:21 a.m., Jamestown — A report was taken for animal cruelty on Phoenix Lake Road.

5:32 p.m., Jamestown — A woman who refused to leave a Chicken Ranch Road business was trespassed by a deputy.

6:17 p.m., Mi-wuk Village — A Lama Court property was burglarize­d.

6:58 p.m., Sonora — A Crystal Falls Drive property was burglarize­d.

9:34 p.m., Sonora — Something was stolen from a Lavender Lane residence.

1:34 a.m., Twain Harte — Someone attempted to burglarize a property at a Highway 108 RV park.

11:19 a.m., Chinese Camp — A Six-bit Ranch Road property was burglarize­d.

1:17 p.m., Sonora — Someone was threatened on Barnwood Court.

2:38 p.m., Jamestown — The Royal Carriage Inn on Main Street was vandalized.

5:37 p.m., Groveland — Someone was arrested for being drunk in public at an Evergreen Road lodge.

10:07 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone was arrested after people fought at a Tuolumne Road North business.

11:25 a.m., Jamestown — A woman screamed and yelled at people at a Main Street park.

11:26 a.m., Jamestown — A parent said their child found a “little baggie” full of what looked like drugs at the stairs of a playset at a Main Street park.

2:15 p.m., Twain Harte — A Cedar Springs Road property was burglarize­d.

6:36 p.m., Sonora — Someone was arrested after a fight on Belleview Road.

6:45 p.m., Jamestown — Someone was assaulted on Fallen Leaf Drive.

10:21 p.m., Chinese Camp — Lillian May Phinney, 52, address not provided, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant after an arrest at Friendship Hill and Sims roads.

10:48 a.m., Arnold — An unauthoriz­ed lock was added to a breaker box on Fairway Drive.

3:55 p.m., Arnold — Someone said there was an ongoing issue with people trespassin­g at the back of a shopping center on Highway 4.

7:21 a.m., Valley Springs — A man on Leary Court said he accidental­ly called 911 while attempting to adjust the volume on his phone.

9:13 a.m., Valley Springs — Propane tanks were stolen on Riley Way.

11:25 a.m., San Andreas — A man was seen stumbling in the road at Pope Street and Treat Avenue, but was gone when a deputy arrived.

11:48 a.m., Copperopol­is — A person on Kiva Drive accidental­ly called 911 while trying to put a boat in the water.

1:29 p.m., Copperopli­s — People were having a barbecue on an undevelope­d O’byrnes Ferry Road property.

1:47 p.m., Arnold — Items were stolen from an open pickup bed on Highway 4.

2:40 p.m., Dorrington — A man said someone took the catalytic converter off his truck on Muriettas Roost.

2:43 p.m., Burson — A man on Meadow Oaks Drive wanted to see if he could press charges now against juveniles who broke the windows on his car two years ago and were supposed to make good on the damage but never did.

8:30 p.m., Vallecito — A vehicle was parked in front a Ponderosa Way residence for 15 minutes and then left.

9:17 a.m., San Andreas — An arrest was made after a report of a suspicious or parked vehicle on Pool Station Road.
