The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:13 a.m., animal complaint — An officer found a large white pit bull with brown patches as the dog was “laying calmly by a truck” on East Pasadena Avenue. It was reunited with its owner.

11:17 a.m., traffic accident — A woman on North Stewart Street said she saw a woman in a green Jeep Wrangler who drove into a closed constructi­on zone and “smacked” into one of the constructi­on worker’s white trucks. There were no injuries, the Jeep was towed and a report was taken.

12:59 p.m., traffic violation — Someone on North Washington Street said they followed a white truck pulling a trailer with a large tree limb sticking out because the tree limb was hitting vehicles parked on the street and it tore off the handle of a white delivery van parked in front of City Hall. The caller followed the driver to a green waste facility and put the man on the phone with SPD dispatch. He agreed to go to the police station after the green waste was unloaded.

5:15 p.m., theft — A woman in a white tank top, brown boots, short black hair and “tattoos all over” filled up a shopping cart at a business on Sanguinett­i Road, placed the items in a suitcase and was arrested after she left.

5:41 p.m., theft — A woman said the license plate was stolen from her vehicle as it was parked at a medical facility on Greenley Road.

7:37 p.m., lost, found property — Someone flagged down an officer for a small black leather wallet that was lost at a business on South Washington Street.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

11:47 a.m., Sonora — Someone appeared to be under the influence of drugs at a business on Mono Way and an arrest was made.

2:14 p.m., Sonora — A woman on Cavalieri Road said a suspicious-acting person wandered around her property.

2:30 p.m., Twain Harte — A man purchased liquor then refused to leave the business on Tiffeni Drive.

3:20 p.m., Tuolumne — A man on Elm Avenue said identity theft occurred when he found his name associated with felony charges out of Santa Cruz County.

6:21 p.m., La Grange — Someone said a vehicle was parked in the parking lot of a campground for a few weeks on Bonds Flat Road.

7:31 p.m., Jamestown — A business on Highway 108 was burglarize­d.

7:50 p.m., Twain Harte — A fire occurred in a backyard on Tiffeni Drive.

9:45 p.m., Sonora — People burned garbage on Curtis Circle and an arrest was made.

10:03 p.m., Jamestown — Someone on Fifth Avenue said two people walked behind their house.

11:04 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on Middle Camp Road said he caught someone at his back gate.

11:47 p.m., Columbia — A man on Five Mile Creek Road said he thought someone followed him home.

11:50 p.m., Sonora — A fire occurred under the bridge at Serrano Road and Mono Way.

12:39 a.m., Sonora — Christophe­r Alan Weakley, 37, address unknown, was booked after an arrest at Stewart and South Lytton streets.

12:09 p.m., Sonora — Melissa Ann Knowles, 39, of the 22000 block of Crystal Falls Drive, was booked on suspicion of bringing a controlled substance/etc. Into prison/ jail/etc., a misdemeano­r charge of giving false identifica­tion to a peace officer and two misdemeano­r warrants, after an arrest on Mono way.

10:13 p.m., Sonora — Shayne Robert Greenway, 48, of the 20000 block of Sparrow Lane, was booked on suspicion of theft or extortion of a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession/manufactur­e/sell a dangerous weapon and misdemeano­r charges of obstruct/ resist/etc., public/peace officer/ emergency med tech, possession of a narcotic controlled substance, unlawful display of evidence of registrati­on, possession of controlled substance parapherna­lia and multiple warrants, after an arrest on Curtis Circle.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

10:50 a.m., Copperopol­is — A report was taken for a disturbanc­e on King Lane.

2:24 p.m., Valley Springs — Firearms were discharged at Hogan Dam Road and Deer Ridge Court.

4:16 p.m., Jenny Lind — A report was taken for a theft on Ospital Road.
