The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

5:55 a.m., assault — An older, dark-haired man screamed, spit at, pushed and threw products at another man in a checkout lane at a Sanguinett­i Road grocery store.

10:03 a.m., vandalism/property damage — A fuel line to a dump truck parked next to a Greenley Road school gymnasium was cut by someone driving a white Chevy pickup.

1:49 p.m., public intoxicati­on — An intoxicate­d man was arrested for being drunk in public after threatenin­g staff at a Greenley Road medical facility.

2:18 p.m., theft — A tall man with brown hair stole two impact drills from an Old Wards Ferry Road business, then walked on railroad tracks toward Washington Street. Another man retrieved the drills and returned them to the store.

3:38 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man was seen placing some sort of case into the back seat of a pickup in a parking lot of a Mono Way shopping center. The pickup then drove away, and the witness suspected a drug deal had taken place.

5:59 p.m., traffic accidents — A vehicle ran into a custodial cart in a crosswalk on North Washington Street. The person driving the cart declined medical attention.

6:08 p.m., animal complaints — An officer freed a skunk that was stuck in a storm drain on Cemetery Lane.

8:13 p.m., public peace/ fight/disorderly conduct — A Maple Street resident complained that her neighbor was driving his RC car up and down the road.

8:34 p.m., theft — People driving a gray Chrysler 300 stole merchandis­e from an Old Wards Ferry Road business.

10:08 p.m., warrant arrests — A woman was arrested on two outstandin­g warrants after someone reported three people charging their phones between two businesses in the Crossroads Shopping Center on Sanguinett­i Road.

10:11, public peace/fight/ disorderly conduct — A group of people ran around and screamed at Heaven for Kids park on Greenley Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

1:33 a.m., Jamestown — Someone was arrested after a Wigwam Road resident reported a prowler.

3:01 a.m., Soulsbyvil­le — A Clouds Rest Road property was vandalized.

8:27 a.m., Tuolumne — People were seen bathing and washing clothes in a pond along Ponderosa Way.

11:08 a.m., Sonora — Someone said a gold Chevy Silverado possibly involved in the thefts of catalytic converters was parked near basketball courts on Crystal Falls Drive.

1:35 p.m., Jamestown — A saddled but riderless horse ran in traffic on Highway 108 near Harvard Mine Road.

2:34 p.m., Twain Harte — A person was seen going through mailboxes along Highway 108 near Coffill Road.

5:17 p.m., Sonora — A family was seen “rafting” down the TUD ditch near Stable Road in Cedar Ridge.

12:58 a.m., Sonora — Eddie Leon Schuyler, 39, of the 20000 block of Jamestown Road, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 at Highway 49.

8:17 p.m., Jamestown — Nicholas Charles Mitchell, 28, of the 200 block of Powell Avenue, Pleasant Hill, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 west of Washington Street.

9:04 p.m., Standard — Amanda Renee Buker, 34, address not given, was booked on suspicion of receiving/etc. known stolen property, forging/altering vehicle registrati­on/ etc., conspiracy to commit a crime and misdemeano­r burglary and driving while license suspended for reckless driving.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

9:34 a.m., San Andreas — An arrest was made after a report of a suspicious or parked vehicle on Gold Strike Road.

10:07 a.m., Murphys — A suspicious person was seen on Bret Harte Drive.

1:50 p.m., Valley Springs — A Pine Street property was vandalized.

9 p.m., Mokelumne Hill —

Someone was arrested after a report of suspicious circumstan­ces.
