TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:04 a.m., controlled substances — A woman on Mono Way asked a man, who she said appeared to be “tweaking,” to move his blue minivan away from a business. He yelled at her and said the vehicle had a flat tire and he would move it when he was ready to. An officer responded, and the man was cited and released.

9:11 a.m., theft — A report was taken from a man on Mono Way who said he left his ATM card at a business and the card was used in Chowchilla and Hanford before it was canceled.

9:30 a.m., threats — A report was taken from a woman on South Barretta Street who said that she and her family were harassed by a woman in Stockton whom she believes is involved in her brother’s death. She was advised to bring screenshot­s of the threats to the Police Department.

9:30 a.m., traffic accident — A woman on Greenley Road said she found that her vehicle had been hit, and she suspected it was the white Nissan Titan that was parked next to her as she said the damage “matches up.” The parties exchanged informatio­n.

9:41 a.m., threats — A report was taken from a family on Sanguinett­i Road who received threats via cell phone from a woman in Stockton. The call was associated with a previous incident.

3:47 p.m., animal complaint — A woman on Bonanza Road said two dogs were in a red pickup hitched to a teardrop trailer, and she had not seen them out of the vehicle for a couple of days. The dogs’ owner was contacted, and the dogs were brought into the residence where she was staying. She was also advised to register the vehicle or move it onto private property.

4:28 p.m., animal complaint — A dog with no collar or tags was found on East Jackson Street and transporte­d to county Animal Control.

4:37 p.m., public intoxicati­on — A woman on Hospital Road said a man was passed out and unresponsi­ve near a business, then he came to and yelled at her and kicked her car door. The man was arrested for misdemeano­r public intoxicati­on and booked into Tuolumne County Jail.

5:53 p.m., any civil problem — Someone on South Washington Street said they pumped $63 worth of gas, but their gas gauge did not move and the clerk at the service station was not helpful. They were able to pump more gas and were advised to take the dispute up with their credit card company.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

7:54 a.m., East Sonora — A tent with people in it was on the edge of the roadway at Phoenix Lake Road and Hess Avenue, and someone was concerned they would be hit.

9:37 a.m., Twain Harte — Someone said a white Jeep with windows broken out has been abandoned in the area of Poppy Terrace Drive for about a year.

10:48 a.m., East Sonora — A catalytic converter was stolen from a man’s prius on Hess Avenue sometime Sunday night.

11:11 a.m., Groveland — Someone was living in a burntout house on Longridge Court.

11:17 a.m., Sonora — A public transit driver said a little girl was walking in the road and seemed confused at Lyons-bald Mountain and Greenley roads.

11:31 a.m., Sonora — A report was taken for a robbery on Serrano Road.

1:18 p.m., Pinecrest — Multiple calls were received throughout the afternoon about a controlled burn being conducted by U.S. Forest Service that was causing smoke to be visible near Strawberry Dam at Pinecrest Reservoir.

6:11 p.m., East Sonora — Someone was lying on the side of the road with all of their belongings at Hess Avenue and Highway 108.

7:08 p.m., East Sonora — Someone requested advice about an encampment under the bridge at Hess Avenue and Phoenix Lake Road.

7:15 p.m., Sonora — A Gibbs Drive resident said $3,500 was stolen out of their bank account and someone opened an account using their Social Security number.

9:35 p.m., Sonora — A report was taken for vandalism on Rosy Ridge Court.

11:47 p.m., Long Barn — Someone came upon an overturned vehicle with no one in it at Highway 108 and Snowwhite Ridge Drive

2:16 a.m., Jamestown — Jeremy Christophe­r Sneed, 29, address unknown, was booked on suspicion of theft or extortion of a motor vehicle and several misdemeano­r warrants after an arrest on Wigwam Road.

10:43 a.m., Sonora — Nicholas Paul Scialabba, 31, address unknown, was booked on suspicion of assault upon a person by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury, inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, threats with intent terrorize, vandalism, and misdemeano­r charges of drug possession and drug parapherna­lia possession after an arrest on the 700 block of Mono Way.

2:15 p.m., Jamestown — Cary Alvin Boles, 57, of the 400 block of East Monterey Avenue, Stockton, was booked on suspicion of possessing a weapon while at a penal institutio­n, conspiracy, possession drugs in a prison or jail, and bringing drugs into a prison or jail after an arrest at Sierra Conservati­on Center.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

4:43 a.m., San Andreas — A report was taken for vandalism on West Saint Charles Street.

9:21 a.m., San Andreas — A West Saint Charles Street property was vandalized.

9:45 a.m., San Andreas — The doors were open and lights on in a Gold Strike Road building that should have been vacant.

12:44 p.m., Valley Springs — A report was taken for vandalism on Highway 26.

3:46 p.m., Valley Springs — Tools were stolen from a work site on Ross Drive.

5:38 p.m., San Andreas — A dog was left in a vehicle on West Saint Charles Street, and the owner was contacted.

7:28 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A Whiskey Slide Road property was burglarize­d.
