The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

9:27 a.m., trespass/loiter — Someone said a man in a longsleeve­d gray shirt and tan pants threatened to beat them up at a business on Stockton Road.

9:58 a.m., lost, found property — Someone on Snell Street asked for increased patrol as they keep finding bags of fecal matter, trash and personal belongings. A bicycle that was stashed nearby was collected by a community service officer.

10:09 a.m., theft — A woman said her wallet and day planner were stolen while she was in the checkout line at a Mono Way business. The store manager said he would review the video.

11:32 a.m., trespass/loiter — An agitated, shirtless man in tan pants, who appeared to be under the influence, accused people of stealing and refused to leave a shower bus on Forest Road. The man left the area and was later located by officers at Woods Creek Rotary Park, where he was given a formal trespass notice.

2:08 p.m., fire call — Employees of a business on Sanguinett­i Road used fire extinguish­ers to put out a fire that occurred on a stack of kayaks.

2:36 p.m., vandalism, property damage — A report was taken for a hole that was drilled into the gas tank of a business’s vehicle on South Washington Street.

3:01 p.m., trespass/loiter — An employee recognized a man in a white baseball hat, black shirt, jeans and a mask who previously shoplifted, and an officer served him a formal trespass notice.

8:17 p.m., trespass/loiter — Someone wanted a man who yelled obscenitie­s under a bridge on Snell Street to be removed from the area. An officer advised the man of the complaint.

8:25 a.m., theft — Someone at a business on Old Wards Ferry Road said a person stole tools and electrical tape and left in a silver BMW 525.

10:03 p.m., animal complaint — Someone on Greenley Road said an injured raccoon ran off dragging its hind leg. An officer checked the area but was unable to locate the animal.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

5:40 a.m., Jamestown — A suspicious vehicle check led to a criminal citation at French Flat and Rawhide roads.

10:37 a.m., Twain Harte — A man on Sierra Drive said that a prowler moved deck chairs and smoked several cigarettes on his deck last night.

12:03 p.m., Sonora — Someone requested a formal trespass notice for a man living in a pickup truck in the parking lot of a business on Mono Way.

12:12 p.m., Sonora — Someone said a man who lives in a big van caused “tons of trash” at Greenley and Cabezut roads.

12:37 p.m., Sonora — Someone requested a welfare check for a person who slept by their driveway at Bergel Road and Sonora Fitness Drive.

1:54 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone at Twain Harte Drive and Highway 108 said a man was “hard-tailgating and roadraging” and nearly ran them off the road.

2:42 p.m., Sonora — Someone at Bergel Road and Ivy Drive said a man lay at the bottom of their driveway, smoking in the grass and bothering customers.

2:55 p.m., Columbia — Someone said a man gave free car washes to passing traffic at Parrotts Ferry Road and Becky River Lane.

7:24 p.m., Jamestown — Someone on Martha Lane said a person trespassed onto their property for two days.

8:25 p.m., Columbia — A woman on Italian Bar Road said she smelled smoke and was terrified.

10:25 p.m., Sonora — Someone set off fireworks on South Yosemite Road.

9:10 p.m., Sonora — Angela Marie Davis, 50, of the 16000 block of Big Hill Road, was booked after an arrest on Phoenix Lake Road east of Fallview Drive.

9:01 p.m., Sonora — Ross Thomas Ott, 63, of the 2000 block of Santa Fe Street, Riverbank, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant, after an arrest on South Washington Street.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

11:27 a.m., Valley Springs — A report was taken for fraud on Ormes Court.

1:31 p.m., West Point — A citation was issued to a man who punched the ground and threw rocks on General Court.

1:42 p.m., San Andreas — A telephone scam was attempted on Calaverita­s Road.

1:47 p.m., Murphys — A report was taken for a disturbanc­e on Highway 4.

8:02 p.m., West Point — A report was taken for battery on Spink Road.

10 p.m., Angels Camp — Kimberly Anne Powell, 34, of the 4000 block of Treosti Place, Valley Springs, was booked on suspicion of aggravated child abuse with the possibilit­y of great bodily injury or death and misdemeano­r charges of simple battery on a person, aggravated battery on a spouse, ex-spouse, date, etc. and a violation of a court order to prevent domestic violence, after an arrest on Highway 49.
