The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

5:42 a.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A caller on Greenley Road said he heard a woman screaming nearby.

10:24 a.m., weapons violations — A caller said they heard two loud bangs 25 seconds apart on Stockton Road and thought they were gunshots.

3:39 p.m., vandalism, property damage — Two vehicles were keyed on West Bradford Avenue.

3:56 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — Someone at a business on Mono Way signaled a silent alarm because someone came into the business who they “have been having problems with.”

7:51 p.m., controlled substances — A man was arrested at a business on Sanguinett­i Road after employees reported theft of flowers from the business. The caller said they saw a firearm and a hatchet tucked in the man’s waistband. The firearm was an airsoft pistol.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

2:59 a.m., Jamestown —

A suspicious call was received from the Manteca Police Department who said a woman called them and said she was being chased by a man with a knife on Harvard Mine Road.

8:51 a.m., Sonora — A package was stolen on Tinnin Court.

10:23 a.m., Groveland — A residence on Pine Mountain Drive was burglarize­d.

10:42 a.m., Tuolumne — Someone’s shed was broken into on Mount Eaton Road.

6:13 p.m., Moccasin — Antonio James Mercado-smith, 28, of the 6300 block of Dogtown Road, Coultervil­le, was booked after an arrest on

Highway 49. Mercado-smith was also booked on a misdemeano­r charge of resisting arrest.

11:05 p.m., Jamestown — Youberd Andri Moushikh, 65, address unknown, was booked after an arrest at Chicken Ranch Road and Margaret Drive.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

9:33 a.m., Copperopol­is — Someone tried to steal wheels from a vehicle on Sawmill Road.

2:21 p.m., Valley Springs — Deputies responded to a call about suspicious circumstan­ces on Highway 26.

6:38 p.m., Murphys — A vehicle was vandalized on Main Street.

8:28 p.m., Valley Springs — A person was arrested after they called the police for a fight that took place in a vehicle at Highway 12 and Evans Road.

Rehnee Briggs, 36, of the 300 block of North Main Street, Lodi, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, transporti­ng a controlled substance, possession of 10 or more ID’S with the intent to defraud, as well as misdemeano­r charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of unlawful parapherna­lia, and receiving known stolen property after an arrest at a business on Highway 12.
