The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

8:35 a.m., controlled substances — A hypodermic needle found in the drive-through of a South Washington Street business was picked up by an officer and destroyed.

8:38 a.m., trespass/loiter — A caller said two tents surrounded by belongings were set up at the end of Child Road. An officer contacted the occupants, who said they were waiting for a ride to Calaveras County. The incident was forwarded to a homeless liaison.

11:06 a.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A woman with brown hair wearing a hoodie and black sweatpants took about 30 flyers from a North Washington Street real estate business. The woman told an officer she was interested in the properties, then agreed to not return to the business.

12:54 p.m., lost/found property — Someone left a machete in the ambulance bay at the old Tuolumne General Hospital on Hospital Road. The weapon was retrieved by an officer.

3:33 p.m., any civil problem — A man said he let a woman stay the night with him in his vehicle and, when he woke up, she was gone and had taken his cell phone.

4:03 p.m., theft — Someone took a jump box and other items from a South Washington Street business but returned them before an officer arrived.

4:14 p.m., Smc/miscellane­ous code violations — A caller asked that officers check under a South Washington Street business for transients after smoke started rising up into the building.

10:06 p.m., public intoxicati­on — A woman wearing a black sweater with a turtle on it and maroon leggings refused to leave and became aggressive after the bartender at a South Washington Street tavern asked her to leave. The woman was booked on a charge of being drunk in public and an outstandin­g misdemeano­r warrant.

10:21 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — Someone flagged down an officer after a white van hit a pedestrian, but the victim left the scene in a Toyota Tacoma.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

12:54 a.m., Sonora — Trash was dumped on Longeway Road.

9:41 a.m., Groveland — Someone was threatened on Wells Fargo Drive.

10:28 a.m., Sonora — Someone trespassed at a Mono Way business.

2:51 p.m., Groveland — A warning was given to someone who trespassed at a Whites Gulch Road property.

4:14 p.m., Tuolumne — A report was taken after someone reported suspicious circumstan­ces on Hani Drive.

7:23 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone was arrested after a report of a suicidal or mental subject.

4:26 p.m., Moccasin — Leanne Renee Anderson, 58, of the 19000 block of Raboul Court, Groveland, was booked after an arrest at the junction of highways 120 and 49.

10:27 a.m., Valley Springs — A report was taken after someone reported suspicious circumstan­ces on Milton Road.

1:12 p.m., Railroad Flat — Trash that appeared to be constructi­on debris was dumped on Independen­ce Cemetery Road.

1:42 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone reported battery on Moore Court.

3:35 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone indecently exposed themselves on Hartvickso­n Lane.

8:53 p.m., San Andreas — A suspicious vehicle was parked on East St. Charles Street.
