The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

8:25 a.m., burglary — A North Washington Street resident said she captured a man on her security camera breaking into a neighborin­g business about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

9:50 a.m., theft — An employee of a Mono Way salon said someone siphoned gasoline from a vehicle parked behind the business the day before.

12:09 p.m., trespass/loiter — Someone heard an argument then a “pop” coming from a Mono Way business. An officer determined someone who was trespassin­g on the property had hit a fence.

12:20 p.m., liquor violations — A woman said her 20-yearold stepson had been buying liquor from a Pesce Way market.

12:57 p.m., theft — A man wearing a black leather jacket took a bottle of liquor and a package of hamburger from a South Washington Street business without paying.

7 p.m., municipal code violations — A West Sunset resident said their neighbors were burning trash that was giving off a chemical smell.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

4:14 a.m., Tuolumne — A man said he was bit by a dog at a hotel on Tuolumne Road North, and the woman who owned the dog drove off when he tried to get her informatio­n.

7:45 a.m., Sonora — A Mono Way business was vandalized.

11 a.m., Sonora — Mail was stolen on Tuttletown Road.

1:28 p.m., Soulsbyvil­le — Six goats were seen passing a storage business on Mono Vista Road South.

1:47 p.m., Sonora — Someone was assaulted on Mono Way near Serrano Road.

2:36 p.m., Columbia — An airport employee flagged down a deputy to report a transient camp on the property.

6:18 p.m., Sonora — Several people on Lyons-bald Mountain Road called between 6:18 and 6:50 p.m. to report hearing gunshots. Some said the shots were coming from a vehicle.

7:05 p.m., Jamestown — A man was arrested for being drunk in public after someone called to say he was screaming and breaking windows at a Main Street business.

7:47 p.m., Jamestown — A person who previously was formally trespassed from a Highway 108 store was arrested after throwing trash on the property.

9:05 p.m., Sonora — Someone said a silver Dodge pickup full of trash was parked at a Lyons-bald Mountain Road cemetery and the windows were fogged up.

THURSDAY

1:16 a.m., Jamestown — Christophe­r Mathew Martin, 41, of the 23000 block of Turner Avenue, Hilmar, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 near Main Street.

8:03 a.m., Sonora — Wyatt James Ray, 36, of the 19000 block of Cherokee Road, was booked after an arrest on Sanguinett­i Loop Road.

THURSDAY

7:28 p.m., Sonora — Marissa Renada Miller, 26, of the 20000 block of Scattergoo­d Road, was booked on suspicion of being an accessory to a felony after an arrest at her home.

7:28 p.m., Sonora — Brett Earl Schmidt, 31, of the 4700 block of Tully Road, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of dischargin­g a firearm from a vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, being a felon in possession of a firearm and felony parole violation after an arrest on the 20000 block of Scatter Good Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

1:10 p.m., San Andreas —

Someone trespassed at an East St. Charles Street property.

2:02 p.m., San Andreas — An officer saw someone suspicious on Jeff Tuttle Drive.

3:50 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone was cited for being drunk in public on Pine Street.

4:41 p.m., West Point — Something was stolen from a Woodhouse Mine Road property.

11:14 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone trespassed at a Heinemann Drive property.
