The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

4:06 a.m., public peace/ fight/disorderly conduct —

A Fairview Lane resident said a woman in the apartment above her had been yelling and stomping around the apartment. An officer advised the woman to keep the noise down.

4:48 a.m., unclassifi­ed — A tenant of a Fairview Lane apartment complex said she woke up and an officer was inside her residence. The woman was advised to call back on the business line.

1:19 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A Bonanza Road resident said two men, one with a black backpack and the other wearing a tan shirt and jeans, were in the creek in front of her home. An officer couldn’t find the men.

2:02 p.m., trespass/loiter — A man wearing a green ball cap, a flannel shirt and blue shorts with a red stripe refused to leave a South Washington Street grocery store unless issued a trespass by an officer. An officer gave him a verbal trespass after the man refused to give his name.

2:27 p.m., theft — A blonde woman wearing a black coat and blue jeans was arrested after concealing merchandis­e at a South Washington Street grocery store.

7:10 p.m., theft — A thin man in a black sweatshirt and baggy jeans took two bottles of liquor without paying from a Stockton Road grocery store.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

5:25 a.m., Tuolumne — A Canyon Drive resident said a suspicious person was in the area.

7 a.m., Columbia — Two large, shaggy sheep were loose in a field on North Airport Road.

8:32 a.m., Sonora — An Argyle Road resident said two cows were in their yard and headed toward the highway.

9:29 a.m., Sonora — Dogs were running on Phoenix Lake Road.

10:20 a.m., Sonora — A Standard Road property was vandalized.

11:11 a.m., Chinese Camp — Five cows were in the middle of Shawmut Road.

12:15 p.m., Sonora — Someone reported what looked like a structure fire on a hillside off of Big Hill Road.

2:21 p.m., Sonora — Someone trespassed at a church on Hillsdale Drive.

3:47 p.m., Jamestown — A report was taken for abuse on Fifth Avenue.

3:59 p.m., Sonora — Dogs were loose on Racetrack Road.

4:02 p.m., Pinecrest — A motorist on Dodge Ridge Road said their car was stuck in the snow. The motorist had chains, but didn’t know how to put them on.

5:48 p.m., Tuolumne — A Sunrise Drive resident said there was smoke inside the house.

7:04 p.m., Sonora — An arrest was made after someone requested a welfare check at an Oxbow Lane North residence.

8:13 p.m., Jamestown — Someone was arrested after a report of an argument on Fifth Avenue.

1:52 a.m., Sonora — Tashia Nichole Brown, 36, of the 21000 block of Crystal Falls Drive West, was booked after an arrest on Mono Way near Standard Road.

8:57 a.m., La Grange — Aric William Bauer, 30, of the 1100 block of Tim Bell Road, Waterford, was booked after an arrest on Bonds Flat Road south of Blue Oaks Recreation Area.

8:50 a.m., Valley Springs — A car battery was stolen from a Kirby Street property.

9:39 a.m., Camp Seco —

Something was stolen on Chile Camp Road.

12:22 p.m., Railroad Flat — Something was stolen on Ridge Road.

1:19 p.m., Arnold — A deputy arrested a suspicious looking person on Blagen Road.

3:38 p.m., Valley Springs — A suspicious person was seen on Vista Del Lago West.

6:42 p.m., Copperopol­is — Someone was assaulted on Arrowhead Street.

9:53 p.m., San Andreas — A suspicious person was seen on Mountain Ranch Road.
