TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

7:20 a.m., accidental injury — A woman slipped on ice and couldn’t get up in front of a Stockton Road Business. She was taken to the hospital.

8:42 a.m., hazardous situation — A man wearing dark clothing and a green jacket ran in and out of traffic near the entrance to a Stockton Road grocery store. The man was admonished by an officer and left the area.

11:27 a.m., parking — A North Stewart Street resident said a tan sedan had been parked on the street for several months. An officer determined the vehicle was used daily and was not abandoned.

1:53 p.m., public peace/ fight/disorderly conduct — An irate student was screaming in the office of a South Barretta Street school.

3:27 p.m., trespass/loiter

A caller said a man comes into a Mono Way laundromat and bothers customers every day and requested that he be formally trespassed.

6:33 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man wearing old clothes and a cowboy hat knocked on the door of a Greenley Road apartment and asked the resident why she was in his apartment. She closed the door on him, and he left.

6:37 pm., traffic violations — A newer red car was swerving all over South Washington Street.

6:52 p.m., lost/found property — A found bank card was turned in to an officer and booked into a found property locker.

7:30 p.m., trespass/loiter — An employee of a Sanguinett­i Road store said a woman with dark black hair caused a scene in the store and “almost got physical” with him. An officer was unable to find the woman.

10:44 p.m., hazardous situation — A motorist said they came upon roadwork on South Stewart Street and almost got into a head-on collision because nobody was directing traffic. A worker told an officer they had just stepped away for a moment.

THURSDAY

2:25 a.m., Tuolumne — Something was stolen at a Tuolumne Road North business.

2:52 a.m., Pine Mountain Lake — A juvenile was missing on Mueller Drive.

8:28 a.m., Confidence — The first of two calls were received regarding people who were putting on tire chains on the curves in the roadway at Highway 108 and Confidence Road.

8:45 a.m., Sonora — A tree fell into a power line on Mono Way.

9:21 a.m., Twain Harte — A tree was down into a power line at Middlecamp and Longeway roads.

9:53 a.m., Columbia —

Someone was cited for assault on Sawmill Flat Road.

10:03 a.m., Sonora — A power line was down on Yerba Santa Drive.

10:16 a.m., Groveland — Power lines were down on Merrell Road.

10:36 a.m., Tuolumne — A tree was down on phone lines on Tuolumne Road.

11:06 a.m., Groveland — A tree fell into power lines on Elderberry Way.

12:26 p.m., Columbia — A vehicle was stuck in the road and blocking traffic at Borden and Jenny Lind roads.

12:49 p.m., Sonora — A vehicle hit a mailbox on Lambert Lake Road.

1:12 p.m., Twain Harte — A power line was down on Golf Club Drive.

2:09 p.m., Twain Harte — A power line was down on Golf Club Drive.

2:09 p.m., Groveland — A power line was down in a driveway on Blue Bell Court.

2:24 p.m., Groveland — A caller said power lines were down on Pleasant View Drive and they could smell smoke.

2:26 p.m., Jamestown — Something was stolen on Mill Villa Road.

3:17 p.m., East Sonora — A man was jumping in front of cars at Tuolumne and Morris roads.

It was unclear whether the Sheriff’s custody logs were blank due to an error, or whether no one was booked into jail on Thursday.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

7:47 a.m., Valley Springs —

An officer made an arrest after seeing a suspicious person on Jean Street.

8:19 a.m., Wallace — A Highway 12 property was burglarize­d.

4:12 p.m., Valley Springs — A suspicious person was seen on Barde Road.

7:16 p.m., Burson — Someone was assaulted on Highway 12.

7:36 p.m., San Andreas — Something was stolen from a Treat Avenue property.

Daniel Ray Clements, 35, of the 17000 block of Robin Ridge, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Highway 4 west of Hunt Road.

10:45 a.m., San Andreas —

Maury Edward O’brien, 43, of the 400 block of Toyon Drive, was booked on suspicion of threatenin­g a crime with intent to terrorize, inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/ cohabitant/date and making a destructiv­e device without a permit after an arrest at his home.
