Joyce Bean Richardson was a spirit like no other and made an unforgettable impression on those around her though every stage of her life. Her childhood was blessed with adventure and fun with horses, boat rides, beach days and camping. High school was in the “fabulous fifties,” and with her as the head cheerleader and Rich as her football hero high school sweetheart.
They married and together raised Renee and Tracy in Fremont, while Joyce worked at Kaiser Hospital in administration for over 25 years. They retired early and moved to Pinecrest where, with the help of good friends, they built their own cabin. They joined the local Harley Club and once spent two months riding across the USA, enjoying the natural wonders of America. Joyce became a member of the local Red Hats and the Tuolumne Garden Club, devoting many years as president.
Joyce’s golden years were lovingly spent hosting her five grandchildren for a month every summer for “Nana Camp,” creating countless memories for her family. In her later years, she moved to Modesto and enjoyed many friendships and experiences in her new home. Joyce had six greatgrandchildren whom she cherished and adored. She also loved to visit Mexico, where she enjoyed a few margaritas!
Joyce is survived by her two children, Renee (Alberto) Perez and Tracy Dillon; her five grandchildren, Chad and Travis Dillon, Richie, Nicolas and Sofia Perez; and her six greatgrandchildren, Owen, Robbie, Max, Landon, Grayson and one one-the-way, Mila.
