The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

11:42 a.m., theft — A woman wearing black pants, black boots and carrying a blue sleeping bag tried to steal something from a Mono Way store and was told to leave, but she kept returning. An officer found the woman and issued her a formal trespass.

2:12 p.m., trespass/loiter

— A Mono Way business said people camping outside had been contacted by officers on Friday and told to leave, but instead more people had begun camping there. An officer contacted the people, who said they didn’t leave over the weekend because of the weather.

2:24 p.m., public peace/

fight/disorderly conduct — A dispatcher on a 911 call from an unknown address could hear a woman screaming at someone to “get out,” but the caller never spoke to the dispatcher.

2:34 p.m., warrant arrests

— An employee of a Stockton Road lodging establishm­ent said they had “squatters” in one of the rooms. An officer arrested an 18-year-old man on an outstandin­g misdemeano­r juvenile warrant.

3:42 p.m., trespass/loiter

— A woman in her 30s wearing a black-and-white ski hat and carrying a dog wearing a sweater tried to steal a bottle of Nutra Milk, dog food and candy from a Stockton Road store. An officer was unable to locate the woman.

6:22 p.m., assault — A man said he was punched in the mouth by another person at a Sanguinett­i Road store, then the man left with a woman in a gray Jeep Patriot.

9:20 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces

— A caller said a man wearing a blue beanie was “pushing some sort of computer and scanner around” and appeared to be taking pictures and scanning ATM machines at a South Washington Street bank. An officer determined the man works with a company that conducts light readings around ATMS for safety purposes.

9:57 p.m., reckless driving

— A caller said teenagers were doing “donuts” in the parking lot of an Elk Drive lodge. The five teens said their friend had bought a new car and had “taken a turn a little too fast.”

3:08 a.m., Sonora — Someone was drunk in public at a Mono Way convenienc­e market.

8:22 a.m., Columbia — A great Pyrenees dog was loose on Sawmill Flat Road. 10:36 a.m., Tuolumne — Something was stolen at a Tuolumne Road North business. 11:52 a.m., Twain Harte — Someone was arrested after a report of an argument on Cresta Drive.

12:17 p.m., Sonora — People fought at a Highway 49 business. 3:23 p.m., Jamestown — Cows were loose on Harvard Mine Road.

3:35 p.m., Sonora — A suspicious person was seen on Mountain Lily Road.

4:33 p.m., Jamestown — A sick raccoon was seen on Jacksonvil­le Road. 4:34 p.m., Groveland — Someone trespassed on a Prospect Heights property. 4:36 p.m., Tuolumne — Something was stolen from a Tuolumne Road market. 4:48 p.m., Twain Harte — Snow fell off of the roof of a Lakewood Drive residence and broke a gas line.

5:23 p.m., Sonora — A suspicious person was seen on Christie May Lane. 6:26 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone was assaulted at a Pine Street park.

12:33 a.m., Camp Connell — Someone caused a disturbanc­e on Hokan Circle.

8:04 a.m., Burson — A Frausto lane property was burglarize­d. 8:43 a.m., Valley Springs — A battery was stolen from a Paloma Road property.

11:20 a.m., Murphys — Liquor was stolen from a Highway 4 property. 1:28 p.m., Copperopol­is — Something was stolen from an Oak Creek Drive property.

2:10 p.m., Murphys — A chain was cut on a gate at a French Gulch Road property. 2:35 p.m., San Andreas — Someone indecently exposed themselves on Forest Hill Drive. 7:38 p.m., Valley Springs — Something was stolen from a Garner Place property. 7:41 p.m., San Andreas — Someone caused a disturbanc­e on Market Street.
