What:the 42nd Old Mill Run 10K race, along with a 2-mile walk, a 2-mile run and two kids’ races.

Where: Main Street, Columbia State Historic Park. When: Saturday, April 15. Mini Mill Run (ages 6 and under) begins at 8:30 a.m. and Mill Run (ages 7-10) begins at 8:40 a.m., both in front of the Wells Fargo Building.the 10K, 2-mile walk and 2-mile run all begin at 9 a.m. in front of Nelson’s Candy Kitchen.

Registrati­on: Online registrati­on at itsyourrac­e.com open through Wednesday, April 12. Register before March 29 to get at-shirt by race day. Race-day signups begin at 7:15 a.m. in Columbia.

Cash prizes: $250 to top male and female finishers (donated by Gary and Charlene Dambacher); $250 more each for breaking course records and race records, meaning an all-time record performanc­e could net winners a hefty $750.

Awards: Columbia Candy Kitchen gift certificat­es for all Mini Mill and Mill finishers. Medals to top three male and female finishers in the 2-mile. Medals also to first three male and female finishers in the 10K, as well as to the top three M and F finishers in these divisions: Under 14, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80-plus.

10K records: Men: Mike Spencer, 31:32, 1996. Women: Laurie Crisp (now Clare), 35:16, 1986.

Benefits: Free Community Christmas Eve Dinner at Mother Lode Fairground­s and WINGS Fund, which assists families caring for ill or injured children.
