The Sonora Police Department reported the following:
TUESDAY
5:14 a.m., fraudulent activities — A caller was supposed to meet a woman who was taking a bus from Las Vegas. They received an Instagram message from her saying that four men held a gun to her head and made demands for $10,000. The caller sent her $100 for her travels and $100 for her hair and nails prior to her travels.
8:42 a.m., fraudulent activities — A caller on Hope Lane wanted to speak to an officer about an extortion plot.
8:43 a.m., vandalism/property damage — A delivery vehicle at a pizza parlor was tampered with Sunday night. The caller said the driver had approximately a quarter-tank of gas when they returned from their deliveries, but when they started the car on Monday, the tank was empty. Someone brought some gas to put in it, but it just ran out onto the ground. The caller said they saw a small hole drilled into the tank, and they would be reviewing security footage.
10:48 p.m., reckless driving
— A driver of a big rig ranker pulled into a gas station on Pesce Way and stumbled into a convenience store, swearing while he bought seven banana shooters. When officers arrived on scene, it was determined that he did not buy any alcohol.

— A home was vandalized on East Old Emigranttrail.
