After drunkenly pouring her heart out one night on Facebook, she awoke to an inbox full of invitation­s from friends and family and decided to embark on a road trip to break bread with all of them. “Misery memoirs run the risk of having soggy bottoms,” of course, but Nunn’s writing “has a crisp textural bite.” Her travels have produced an “insightful, unsparing, and touching” memoir.
