■■■ The Houston Association of Realtors has retired the terms “master bedroom” and “master bathroom” because of potential slavery connotations. The terms “primary bedroom” and “primary bathroom” will be used instead. “The consensus,” said the association, “was that ‘primary’ describes the rooms equally as well as ‘master’ while avoiding any possible misperceptions.”

■■■ A Scottsdale, Ariz., city councilman mockingly chanted “I can’t breathe!” during a protest against mandatory face masks. As he repeatedly mimicked the dying words of George Floyd, Republican Guy Phillips pulled off a mask to the cheers of an anti-mask crowd and shouted “Insanity!” He later apologized to “anyone who became offended” by his use of the phrase, insisting, “I was by no means trying to make light of it.”
