Six comic horror series...
Santa Clarita Diet
Drew Barrymore and co-star Timothy Olyphant play SoCal real estate agents whose life together is upended when she quietly turns into a zombie who craves human flesh. Think Desperate Housewives reimagined by George Romero, and be patient, because the series improves across three seasons. Netflix

Crazyhead
If, after all this time, you still miss Buffy the Vampire Slayer, this short-lived U.K. series may briefly ease the pain. Its six episodes track a friendship that arises between two young women who bond over the rare ability to see demons and bloodily dispatch them. Netflix
Scream Queens
Ryan Murphy, creator of Glee and American Horror Story, neatly synthesized the two in this slasher satire series featuring Emma Roberts as a sorority queen bee and horror legend Jamie Lee Curtis as an antagonistic dean. Hulu
Zomboat!
In this Shaun of the Dead– style comedy, several Londoners take refuge from the zombie apocalypse on a canal boat after discovering that the undead can’t swim. Hulu
