■ Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs reached a settlement with ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura last week, just a day after she sued the billionaire music executive and entrepreneur for rape and physical abuse during their decade-long relationship. Ventura, 37—who sings under the name Cassie— first met Combs when she signed to his Bad Boy label at age 19. She alleged that he later lured her into “a drug-fueled lifestyle,” assaulted her multiple times, and forced her to have sex with male prostitutes while he masturbated and recorded videos. Combs raped Ventura in her apartment, the suit said, after she tried to break up with him in 2018; they split soon after. An attorney for Combs, 54, said the settlement was “in no way an admission of wrongdoing.” Ventura said in a statement that she “decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control.”

■ Kanye ‘Ye’ West and his wife, Bianca Censori, are reportedly “taking a break” after her friends staged an intervention over West’s controlling ways. She is “starting to see through the smoky mirrors of her marriage,” a source close to Censori, 28, told the Daily Mail (U.K.). The couple has lived mostly in Europe since marrying late last year, with West, 46, reportedly dictating strict rules for Censori—an Australian architect who works for Ye’s fashion company—including what she can eat and wear and when she can talk. West is currently recording a new album in Saudi Arabia, while Censori has been visiting family and friends in Australia.

■ Dex Carvey, the 32-year-old son of comedian Dana Carvey and Paula Zwagerman, died last week of what the family called an accidental drug overdose. Dana Carvey, 68, revealed the “terrible tragedy” and said he would take a break from work so that their family can “heal the best we can and carry on,” adding, “Our darling Dex would have wanted it that way.” Carvey was one of Saturday Night Live’s most iconic performers, and cast member Colin Jost sent a message of support on last week’s show, holding a handwritten sign that read “We love you Dana and Paula.”
