Vista wins general excellence from state Press Associatio­n

For the second year in a row and the third time in the past four years, The Weekly Vista was named the top medium weekly newspaper in the Arkansas Press Associatio­n’s 2016 Better Newspaper Editorial Contest. The associatio­n’s meeting was held over the weekend in Bentonvill­e.

In receiving the general excellence award, retired managing editor Tom Throne said he was very excited for The Vista staff.

“It takes a team effort to produce a newspaper and our staff did a great job in covering the community,” he said.
