Bella Vistan to lead NARFE Federation
LITTLE ROCK — Ronald J. Lambert, of Bella Vista, was elected president of the Arkansas Federation of the National Active and Retired Federal Employee Association at the recent federation convention in Pine Bluff. Other newly elected NARFE Arkansas Federation officers are Wynell Choate, Ashdown, executive vice president; Linda Behm, Hot Springs Village, secretary; and Lynn Williams, Heber Springs, treasurer.
Lambert succeeds Winston Wolfe of Hot Springs Village. Lambert is also president of the Bella Vista Chapter of NARFE, and he has served the NARFE federation as treasurer and service officer.
NARFE, which has 27 chapters in Arkansas, is dedicated solely to safeguarding and improving the earned benefits of federal employees, retirees and their families.
NARFE is also a champion of Alzheimer’s research, and nationally NARFE members have contributed nearly $12 million towards finding a cure for this disease.
Lambert’s federal service was with the Internal Revenue Service. He started as an IRS agent in Madison, Wis., and after more than 31 years, he retired from the senior executive position of district director of the Kansas-Missouri District, headquartered in St. Louis.
