Home Tour highlights

Highlands Church will be hosting its 26th annual Home Tour from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27.

Pre-tour tickets will go on sale after Aug. 1 for $10 at the Bella Vista Arvest banks at Highlands Gate, Town Center and Sugar Creek, and from church members or Highlands Church at 371 Glasgow Road, Bella Vista. Call the church office at 479-8552277. On the day of the tour, tickets will be $12 at Highlands Gate or any of the homes.

Thanks to the many volunteers, generous home owners and the community’s support, the Home Tour has raised more than $319,000 over the past 25 years for charitable agencies. Of that, 65 percent is donated to faithbased organizations in the northwest Arkansas area, including Gravette School District’s Snack Packs, Meals on Wheels, Village House, Bella Vista Food Pantries, Salvation Army and Oasis Transitional Living for Women, while the remaining 35 percent is donated to national and global missions, including UMCOR National Relief and El Refugio Mission in Columbia.

Five fabulous homes are included on the tour this year — including three lake homes on Loch Lomond. Guests will be escorted through the homes by friendly hosts and hostesses and have an opportuity to draw at each home for the chance to win a prize.
