Saturday, Aug. 6

The Northwest Arkansas Cochlear Implant Support Group will meet at 10 a.m. in the Community Room at the Mercy Hospital/Clinic in Bella Vista. All individual­s who have implants are invited to attend, and anyone who is considerin­g the procedure is especially welcome. This is an excellent opportunit­y to learn more about cochlear implants and meet people who have had the procedure. For additional informatio­n, contact Arlyn at 479855-2643

The United Methodist Women’s annual Rummage Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive in Bella Vista. There will be something for everyone. Sweet rolls and/or lunch will be available.

Sunday, Aug. 7

The Bella Vista Historical Museum will host Steve Morrow at 2 p.m. Steve will be sharing stories about his collection of baseball memorabili­a which he has accumulate­d over the past nearly 50 years, now on display at the museum, representi­ng many of the greatest players of all times. The public is welcome to this free event. The museum is located at the corner of U.S. Highway 71 and Kingsland Road, next door to the American Legion.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

The Bella Vista Community Concert Band will perform at the Blowing Springs Park, east of U.S. Highway 71 on Mercy Way, at 7 p.m. The performanc­e is free to the public. Visitors can also enjoy a picnic supper, provided by Bella Vista Sunshine Rotary Club, from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Proceeds from the supper will be donated to non-profit organizati­ons around the area. The Bella Vista Community Band is dedicated to providing live music for area residents and opportunit­y for those who play or have played band instrument­s to participat­e in music making. Their schedule runs through September.

Saturday, Aug. 27

The first “Aim For Advocacy” Sporting Clay event will benefit the Restoratio­n Village advocacy program, which provides direct services, support and care to women and children. Registrati­on will open at 9 a.m. at Gunsmoke Sporting Clays in Pea Ridge and will end at 2 p.m. Event registrati­on is $100 for adults and $50 for youth ages 1218. Saturday, Oct. 7

Highlands Church will be hosting its 26th annual Home Tour from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pretour tickets will go on sale after Aug. 1 for $ 10 at the Bella Vista Arvest Banks at Highlands Gate, Town Center and Sugar Creek, and from church members or Highlands Church at 371 Glasgow Road, Bella Vista. Call the church office at 479-855-2277. On the day of the tour, tickets will be $ 12 at Highlands Gate or any of the homes on the tour.
