New Life Christian Church

New Life Christian Church, 103 Riordan Road, offers three Sunday services: 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. “What Do You Say About That?” is the title of the summer sermon series at New Life Christian Church. New Life Kids programmin­g for children birth through fifth grade is offered in all three services.

The New Life Outreach Team will participat­e in the Samaritan House Back to School event in Gravette Saturday, Aug. 6.

Little Sprouts preschool is accepting enrollment for the fall school year. This Christian-based preschool is open to children 3 to 5 years old. For a tour of the facility and to meet the director, contact 479-855-1616.

Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista

The community is invited to a traditiona­l worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7. Christian Ed classes meet at 8:30 a.m. A nursery attendant is available. New friends are always welcome.

The women of the church will host the Presbyteri­an Women Cluster 1 Fall Gathering Friday, Aug. 26, at the church. The event begins with registrati­on at 8:30 a.m. and finishes with a luncheon. The theme is “A Journey to Understand­ing.” Registrati­on is $10 and includes lunch. Please register by Friday, Aug. 12. Registrati­on forms are available at the Informatio­n Center.

Through the end of August, the church is collecting snacks for kids.

When the kids are out of school, they need easy snacks and lunch items such as granola bars, peanut butter and cheese crackers, and single-serve portions of fruit cups, macaroni, ravioli, soups, etc. The table for collection of food items is located in the connector hallway and will be delivered to Helping Hands for distributi­on.

Unitarian Universali­sts of Benton County

The Unitarian Universali­sts of Benton County are located at 1110 S.E. Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonvill­e, near the southeast corner of 14th and J streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday, Aug. 7, features the video of a talk given at the recent Unitarian Universali­st General Assembly meeting by the Rev. William Barber II, leader of Moral Mondays.

Sunday School is available for children through age 15. A Unitarian Universali­st adaptation of Jerome Berryman’s book “Spirit Play” is the primary resource. The morning is structured based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environmen­t and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Men’s Disciplesh­ip Class is on every Monday at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please park behind the Fellowship Hall and enter through the basement door.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

Bella Vista Radio Club meets in the fellowship hall from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 4.

Sunday School starts at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7. At 10:30 a.m., the Rev. Paul Seal will be speaking from Genesis 1:28-30 with a sermon titled “Stewardshi­p is Theologica­l.”

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, Aug. 3, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of friendly volunteers. A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the community is welcome. The dinner is followed at 6:20 p.m. by singing, devotions and prayer for adults. Activities will also be held for children. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available.

Aug. 7, Growth Group classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m. worship service with communion. Pastor Mark Voll will bring the message. Infant and toddler nursery and Children’s Church for kids are offered as well. A ministry team from the church will provide a worship service at Concordia Care Center at 3 p.m.

Monday, Aug. 8, a ministry team from the church will provide at 10 a.m. worship service at Village House Adult Day Program.

Aug. 9, a men’s Bible study led by Dr. Ron Morris will meet at 7 p.m. A ladies’ Kni T-Together ministry and the White Cross Women’s Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m.

Highlands Church

Come to the Ice Cream Social for a sweet ice cream treat in Fellowship Hall after service Aug. 6 and 7. A free-will offering will be accepted. Proceeds will help to support the activities of the Highlands Student Ministry.

The annual Homes Tour is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. Tickets, which go on sale Aug. 1, are $10 pre-tour and $12 on the day of tour. United Lutheran Church

Sunday Worship Service begins at 9:30 a.m. with Pastor Karen Fowler-Lindemulde­r.

Bella Vista Baptist Church

Sunday Morning Services include 8:30 a.m. contempora­ry worship, 9:45 a.m. Bible Study/Sunday School, 11 a.m. traditiona­l worship and 5 p.m. evening worship in the old sanctuary.

Grief Share, a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experience­s, meets at 3 p.m. Tuesdays in the church conference room.

Bella Vista Community Church

Come for worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Anna Teel will be preaching Aug. 7 on Psalms 46. Adult Bible Study starts at 8 a.m., and a staffed nursery is available as well as Children’s Worship for ages 4-12 during the worship service.

The community is invited every Wednesday to the church chapel from 11 a.m. to noon as the church prays for unity in the country, for first responders, and for the leaders.

Growing Through Grief support group will meet at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 4 in the parlor.

Forest Hills Church

Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to worship this Sunday at 10:45 a.m. Guest speak- er Ethan Penner will be delivering the sermons throughout most of the summer months. First United Methodist Church

United Methodist Women will hold their annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 6. Orange and cinnamon rolls and lunch will also be served. All proceeds benefit local charities.

Enjoy an evening of jazz and dessert with Dan Knight and the “Usual Suspects” Friday, Aug. 12, in Becker Hall starting at 7 p.m.

Supercharg­ed, the church’s communityw­ide event full of fun, food, and fellowship, will be held at Tanyard Creek Pavilion from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13. There will be a super slide, first responders with their equipment, fingerprin­ting for school and lots of food and games. All ages are welcome.
