Good Sams set Friendship Campout

-

The Good Sam Travel Club Chapters of NWA will hold their yearly “Friendship Campout” at the Cedar Oaks RV Park in Grove, Okla., Thursday, Sept. 22-Sunday, Sept. 25. Sixty to 80 campers will enjoy a great time of food, fellowship, games and special entertainment.

Thursday includes a tour of the Newell Motor Coach facility to watch these million-dollar homes being assembled. A picnic dinner and a fun-filled Chinese auction conclude the evening.

Friday begins with a biscuit and gravy breakfast and your choice of golf, a duct tape craft session, or other games before a dinner of spaghetti and meatballs is enjoyed by all. The evening features a game of bingo for a cash prize.

On Saturday, enjoy breakfast casseroles, craft time, games and a BBQ chicken/potluck dinner. The evening features an excellent musical group from Tulsa, “The New Revival Quartet.”

The campout concludes with a Sunday breakfast and a devotional service before everyone heads home.

If you are not presently a member of any northwest Arkansas Good Sam chapter, you are invited to join this group for the weekend to learn more about their social clubs and decide if you would like to join a local chapter.

Their is no cost for the weekend, other than the regular overnight fees to stay on the campground. For more information about the trip, call Don or Joann Cowell at 479876-1799 or 479-3618420. Those who intend to camp are encouraged to call ahead and let the Cowells know so that the appropriate amount of food can be prepared. There is no need to make reservations with the campground if you join the group Thursday, Sept. 22.
