Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista

The Book Club resumes at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, in the parlor. The topic will be what you have read this summer. All are welcome. Call 479-876-2547 with any questions.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Men’s Disciplesh­ip Class meets each Monday at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. in the lower level. Park behind the Fellowship Hall and enter through the lower level.

Grief Share meets at 6 p.m. on Thursdays in the church library. Anyone who is experienci­ng the loss of a loved one is welcome.

The Lutheran Hour is at 12:30 p.m. each Sunday on KURM-FM (100.3).

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday.

New Wine Ministry

Make your plans now to join with the saints of God in northwest Arkansas to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacle­s Oct. 16-24. Evening meetings will take place at 6:30 p.m. at New Wine Ministry, 2262 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista. On Oct. 23-24, the 6:30 meetings will be held at Word Of Life Church, 808 S.W. 14th St., Bentonvill­e. Mario Murillo, an internatio­nal evangelist, will speak. Jason Fowler will bring an anointed gift of music and worship. There will be guest speakers at all the meetings. Every morning at 9:30, there will be meetings at the ARK, 8030 LaCroix Road, Decatur.

New Wine Ministry meets at 5:30 p.m. every Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sundays with Pastor Vincent Xavier ministerin­g the Word. Pastor Patricia Xavier leads a round-table discussion and a teaching on deliveranc­e at 7 p.m. every Thursday night.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, Sept. 28, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of friendly volunteers. There will not be a dinner at the church this evening. At 6:20, there will be singing, devotions and prayer for adults. Activities will also be held for children. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available, and the community is invited.

Thursday, Sept. 29, a Bible study on the book of Matthew taught by Dr. Ron Morris will meet at 6:30 p.m. Men and women in the community are welcome, and newcomers may join the study at any time.

Sunday, Oct. 2, Growth Group classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m. worship service. Pastor Mark Voll will begin a new sermon series titled “The Beginning and the End: Lessons from Genesis.” This week’s sermon title is “The First Sacrifice” with a text of Genesis 3:6, 21-24. Infant and toddler nursery and Children’s Church for kids are offered as well.

Tuesday, Oct. 4, a Ladies’ Bible Study titled “Prayer: Essential to a Fruitful Christian Life,” written and led by Joanne Morris, will be held at 9 a.m. Women from the community

Unitarian Universali­sts

The Unitarian Universali­sts of Benton County are located at 1110 S.E. Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonvill­e, near the southeast corner of Southeast 14th and J streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday, Oct. 2, Dr. Jeffrey Tate will give a talk on Unitarian Universali­st First and Second Principles: The inherent worth and dignity of every person; and Justice, equity and compassion in human relations.

Sunday School is available for children through age 15. A Unitarian Universali­st adaptation of Jerome Berryman’s book “Spirit Play” is the

primary resource.

The morning is structured based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environmen­t and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

United Lutheran Church

The church will host a Dave Anderson and Roger Walck concert, at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16. The freewill offering received at the concert will benefit the Shepherd’s Canyon Retreat ministry.

New Life Christian Church

New Life Christian Church offers three Sunday services: 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. “James: Faith

that Works” is the title of the new message series. New Life Kids programmin­g for children birth through fifth grade is offered in all three services. This includes a high-energy worship and large group time, followed by small group lessons.

New Life Students offers separate programmin­g for teens. Seventh- and eighth-grade students will meet for “Emerge” from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sundays. “Engage” is designed especially for ninth- through 12th-graders, and they gather on Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m. Any teen in the community is welcome to attend.

New Life Christian will host a Trunk or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, on the church parking lots for all children and families.

Church Choir Practice starts at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Bella Vista Community Church

Come for worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Anna Teel will be preaching Sunday, Oct. 2. Adult Bible Study starts at 8 a.m. A staffed nursery is available as well as children’s worship for ages 4-12.

The community is invited every Wednesday to the church chapel from 11 a.m. to noon as the church prays for unity in the country, for first responders, and for the leaders. Come as you are, and attend as it fits your schedule.

Wednesday night activities include 6 p.m. pizza and 6:30 p.m. Bible study for children and youth.

Blood pressure checks are available to the community each Wednesday in the nurse’s office from 9 a.m. to noon.

Bella Vista Baptist Church

Sunday Morning Services include 8:30 a.m. contempora­ry worship, 9:45 a.m. Bible Study/Sunday School , 11 a.m. traditiona­l worship and 5 p.m. evening worship in the old sanctuary.

Grief Share, a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experience­s, meets at 3 p.m. Tuesdays in the church conference room.

Wednesdays, the Evening Meal begins at 4:45 p.m. Children’s choirs meet at 5:30. The Wednesday Evening Prayer meeting is held at 5:45 in the old sanctuary. There are youth activities Wednesdays starting at 6 p.m., and AWANA meets at 6:15.

The Men’s Prayer Breakfast, every Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall, is studying the book of Romans.

Senior Adult Fun Day is the second Thursday of each month at 1 p.m. Bring your favorite snack, your favorite game, and come for fun and fellowship.

The Senior Adult Ministries hosts “Ice Cream and a Movie” the fourth Friday of the month at 6 p.m.
