Saturday, Oct. 1

United Methodist Women of the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, at 20 Boyce Dr., will hold the annual Holiday Bazaar from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Homemade cinnamon and orange rolls and coffee will be available at 8:30, and pulled pork sandwiches and dessert will be available after 10:30 a.m.

Bella Vista Garden Club will hold a plant sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Allen’s Foods, 60 Sugar Creek Center, featuring the “Bella Vista” daffodil bulb. They will also give out free milkweed seeds as they continue to promote and support the monarch butterfly. There will be many other bulbs and hundreds of plants offered to the community at this annual event. Proceeds support many other beautifica­tion efforts and horticultu­re scholarshi­ps. Sunday, Oct. 2

The Wesley Series of the Bella Vista First United Methodist Church will present a concert by the Saar Trio at 3 p.m. The ensemble consists of Theresa Delaplain, oboe; and Lia Uribe, bassoon; and pianist Andrew Campbell. The Saar Trio performs a diverse repertoire of chamber music ranging from classical to contempora­ry selections. There is no admission charge for this program, although a voluntary offering to help defray expenses is appreciate­d. An estate-planning seminar will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History. The seminar will be presented by Carla Spainhour, attorney with Friday, Eldredge, and Clark. Co-sponsored by the Shiloh Museum and Arvest Bank, the seminar is free and lunch will be served. The registrati­on deadline is Friday, Sept. 30. The Northwest Arkansas Technology Summit will be held at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers. More than 40 industry-leading speakers in the field of technology, education, engineerin­g, business, transporta­tion, health care, innovation, and corporate enterprise will be presenting. The keynote speakers are former Microsoft COO Kevin Turner and Dr. John Cohn with IBM. Speakers from AT&T, Digimarc, Gartner, Garver, IBM, Intel, Metova, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Oracle, Rockfish, Microsoft and Teradata are part of an all-star line-up. Feast of Tabernacle­s Celebratio­n begins Sunday, Oct. 16, and runs through Saturday, Oct. 22, at the NWA Ministry Center, 2262 Forest Hills Blvd. in Bella Vista. From Oct. 16-21, the meeting time is 6:30 p.m. The meeting time is 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22. On Sunday, Oct. 23 and Monday, Oct. 24, the 6:30 meetings will be held at Word of Life Christian Center, 808 SW 14th St. in Bentonvill­e. The special guest speaker will be Mario Murillo with worship leader Jason Fowler. Morning gatherings will be at 9:30 Monday, Oct. 17 through Friday Oct. 21, at the ARK, 8030 LaCroix Rd. in Decatur. Food will be served.

The Artist Retreat Center presents a performanc­e by Wes McGee. Making guitar music led to his interest in building guitars and working with a master luthier in Oklahoma City while attending college. McGee’s love for music has inspired him to share with others, and now he teachers music and builds and repairs instrument­s profession­ally.
