Monday, Sept. 26
4:36 p.m. Preston Jacobs, 45, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license after being stopped for defective equipment on Arkansas Highway 340. The suspended license was related to a driving while intoxicated charge.
7:05 p.m. A Purfleet Drive resident reported that someone had been putting human waste and rotting meat inside their mailbox. Extra patrols were assigned to the area.
Tuesday, Sept. 27
6:21 p.m. There was a two-vehicle accident near Walgreens on U.S. Highway 71. No road blockage was reported.
Wednesday, Sept. 28
12:09 p.m. Aaron Frierson, 26, turned himself in on a warrant for contempt of court with original charges of driving with an expired license plate and failure to appear, and another contempt of court charge related to driving without insurance, an expired license plate, criminal contempt of court and failure to appear.
Thursday, Sept. 29
8:24 a.m. A caller reported his mailbox had been run over on Breton Lane.
1:12 p.m. A man was reportedly panhandling at Sugar Creek Center. Police were unable to locate him.
9:19 p.m. A Euston Lane resident reported a white Camaro with a black roof sitting at the intersection of Euston and Manchester. The resident said that every time they turned their lights on, the driver revved the engine and drove off.
Friday, Sept. 30
12:48 a.m. Day Lowery, 46, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and felony possession of drug paraphernalia after being pulled over for careless driving on Arkansas Highway 279.
9:47 a.m. A propane tank exploded on Basore Drive.
Saturday, Oct. 1
2:36 p.m. Abby Bartow, 22, was cited and released after turning herself in on a warrant for contempt of court and failure to appear in connection to a speeding charge.
4:54 p.m. A caller reported they were driving on Commonwealth Road when something struck their rear passenger side window and shattered it.
Sunday, Oct. 2
1:58 a.m. Clyde Skoglund, 48, was arrested for driving with an expired vehicle license, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, public intoxication and assault in the second degree after being stopped near the intersection of Arkansas Highway 340 and Wolverton Lane.
