Maxine Viola Jensen
Maxine Viola Jensen, 88, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo. She was born April 8, 1928, in Leigh, Neb., to Herbert and Viola Jones.
She spent her early years in Kearney, Neb., where she met the love of her life, Carl Jensen. They married on Nov. 15, 1946. and spent 51 years together. They moved to Bella Vista in 1987. They enjoyed playing golf and adored the beautiful surroundings of Bella Vista.
Maxine enjoyed playing cards and bingo, loved spending time with her family and always wore her favorite color: purple.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother; two sisters; and an infant great-grandson.
She is survived by her children, Steve Jensen and wife Deb of Kearney, and Bruce Jensen and wife Carla of North Platte, Neb., and Diane Holmes and husband George of Bella Vista; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family expresses their deepest gratitude for the compassion of the Golden Living Center in McDonald County, Mo., where Maxine resided for the past two years.
Memorial service will be held at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, in Maxwell, Neb.
